Rub A Dub Dub!
Picked up these new wheels over the past weekend and spent the last 2 days making them fit.
Pretty eventful 2 days i must say. - Picked up the new wheels at a public location, security guard wanted to be a dick and assumed stuff so she made us leave. - Took the tsx wheels off and put on the new wheels to test fit, lugs didnt even fit but luckily friend had some spare ones that did. - Bent all tabs up front in and banged the rest with a mallet. Basically rolling if you ask me.. - Rear didnt fit cause i needed to shave, i didnt wanna roll so i made it a DIY project. - Started to shave the rear with a dremel and went through about 3 discs pretty quick. I didnt even shave 1/4 of the fender yet! Prob about 2 inches - Said fuck it, ima pay someone to do it. Though about it over night and remembered my dad had an angle grinder. - This morning i went to home depot and harbor freight, bought some wafer thin cutting discs - Went to work on the fenders and the angle grinder made it cut like BUTTER! - Did final shavings/grindings/filing etc and the wheels fit pretty nice. Still have small issues here and there but thats it. I do want to go lower in the rear but the ksports are already maxed out. Front i still have alot to go if i want. Gonna order these week - Extended Studs - Open End Extended Lug Nuts - Rear Camber kit I need to new tires for the wheels if i wanna roll on them. Got about 25% tread life on all tires. 18x9 +15 ALL AROUND. Havent seen anyone with these offsets yet. Sorry for the over exposed pictures, too lazy to fix them while i was taking the pics. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8458/8...b36892b1_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8029/8...a568fc85_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8175/8...fd068f56_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8180/8...8068b08e_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8173/8...40e8aeae_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8170/8...5e908a5a_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8036/8...8e543d0f_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8312/8...be297d3a_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8458/8...5064aa5d_z.jpg |

holy shit haha. lot of poke but it still looks pretty sick. what tire size is on there right now?
|
Thanks!
225/40/18 on them right now. I actually think the fronts are a pretty nice fitment, as for rears ill have to adjust them with the camber kit. |

Man, everybody seems to be getting new wheels lately lol
and you're starting to become a wheel whore :tomato: |
damn tony!
I havent even bought a set of wheels yet and you've gone through like 3 or 4 sets |
Nice a little too much poke, but looks good
|
Daaaaamn. Now I'm thinking about putting my wheels on. Looking like a Pokemon master, very clean.
|
looking good, man...
I'd fkn CRINGE and DIE every time I hit a bump on a turn...I didn't even have such tight tolerances and dreaded the tire shredding. great job though... and your avy...jeez. Need a wetnap now. |
sickkk.. not too many stanced 2g's on this board, once you get that rear camber kit and dial in some more camber, it will be moneyy!
|
The color goes well with your car , very nice !
|
I remember when Tony first came over to my house to install the coilovers.
his first words were " I cant go to low or my mom will get mad." Look at you now! |

Nice! Looks mean
|
Thanks guys!
I'd get 215 but im getting a camber kit so im sure 225 would be a nice fit with more camber. |
I'm rockin a 225 on a 9" rim and it is great, the perfect balance of not too much stretch but does give some serious clearance.
|
tony, did you end up buying the front and rear lip of that guy in the black market?

Tony holla at me for tires 235 35 18 continental tires 85 each brand new...
|
I like, they look sick
|
front and rear camber kits will make fitment sooo much easier.. if you wanna go lower smaller tires will help as well!!!
|
Im sticking with my current sizes when i get new tires but im already in the process of getting a rear camber kit. Front's i dont think i need, i think fitment is real nice up front.
|
Deff gonna have poke up front with no camber kit.
|
It does poke just a smich but i do like how it sits. Im getting new studs/lugs/rear camber kit so i will take more photos soon to show final fitment. Hopefully my friend has time for a photoshoot also

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb...kdeco1_500.jpg http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb...kdeco1_500.jpg Opted for the spline drive lugs instead of the regular ones. Make it just a bit harder if a theif were to try to steal my wheels. LOVE the color of the lugs, you guys cant really tell but its like a really deep bronze. DSLR pics soon to come! |
