Doubtfull. Water doesnt really get in that area, and if it does, not enough to be sucked in all at once to do it

Nope...I actually submerged my intake before and the car stalled. Long story how it happened but it did. I was able to get it running again, all I did was pull the plugs and I turned the key and let the motor crank until I smelt fuel. Water actually shot out of where the spark plugs go! I put the plugs back in and cranked the motor again and water poured out my exhaust. I would say I had about 1 gallon of water in there. Immediately after I got it running, I changed the oil twice, then changed it again a week later. That was over a year ago...my car has been fine.

A local shop that does the work on my car did the manifold. I can't remember off the top of my head but it was like $1300 for the manifold I think.

Gonna repaint one day and maybe get a hold of some of those colored lines to dress it up a little more.

ive always used simple green max on a cold engine. cleans it up real nice. if you have gunk all over the block just use engine degreaser or brake cleaner. just dont spray the electrical connections

Do you spray it with water afterwards? Or do you wipe it down? I've seen some Black Magic engine detailer/degreaser at the parts store but I've always been leery of spraying down the engine with water. I don't want to mess up the electrical stuff.

its perfectly fine to rinse (not pressure wash) the engine. The engine compartment isnt sealed from water so it gets wet when it rains. All the connectors are sealed units that low pressure wont harm.
