Popped a balloon....!
So Wednesday on the way to a meet about 90 miles north, (Cerritos,CA) at about the 70mile mark i noticed my front driverside pressure dropping... hmmmm. so I popped some air in the bag, it held for a second then started dropping slowly. I thought (hoped..) my airline was loose. So my pressure dropped again to about 90psi so i popped some more air in and it started dropping quickly.. uh oh.
I break for the exit and as im rolling on the ramp all i hear is "PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and bam im at 0psi and slammed on the driverside front wheel. i limp into a gas station, pull up on some "home trader" mags to fit the jack under and sure enough the bag is worn through from abrasion. i modded my strut body to go lower which allowed me to drive slammed (tucking rim) .. so i did.. and therefore, well, yea.
Long story short insurance would only cover to the nearest Acura dealership which was 5 miles away.. so i got comp'd 5 miles out of the 75miles i had to travel to my garage. gotta love it. Took off the bumper to get it on the flatbed so i didnt destroy my lip. So once on the truck i bought the driver some chips and asked "hey, cool if we drink (alcoholic beverages haha) in the truck?" He was all about it so Me and my bud grabbed a couple 22's of Modelo and i tried to wash away the pain.
My current situation is either send the bags out to get resleeved or purchase 2 new air struts. Most likely going with resleeved because the strut is in exellent condition.
Till next year for my TL, 2010 will be sick. Looking like Hellaflush 5 will be in LA, and my car will be there. Next year brings LEGIT wheels.. plus a bunch of dope ish (fixie included) youll see in future pics. I'll be out of the country till April 2010.. while im gone people gotta be reppin TL's!! i wanna see like 10 sick TL's on here when i get back!!! haha LATES! oh yea pics and a bonus video.. haha
