Total cost me120$ for the screen including shipping (ebay). Install i did myself, although i gota fix it up a bit still.

I cut under under the track for the screen on the din sized deck and put all the electronic components right on top of the CD player on the bose deck (had to take top cover off to make room). I also used the two screws that go into the side of the CD tray above the deck and screwd them into the TV's case, so its one piece. Sounds easy, but very difficult.
WOW..for 120... i'd buy it in a second

i was wondering, when you shaved off the lcd screen bin, and when you screwed it onto the console, did you have to modify the console at all? like did you have to make the area above the stereo bigger? If not, how did you mount it? A detailed explanition would be very helpful.. thanks....

no i didnt have to make it bigger. I did have to move the wire harness in the corner behind the deck a bit cause the screen deck wouldnt fit all the way in. But because this deck fits exactly where the CD tray is, no modification required.

I have the same problem accessing my climate control, but the real issue is just closing it. Opening is easy with the auto button still hanging halfway out.

hey, do you think you have a picture of the lcd unit before you put it inside the console? I want to see how much you shaved off. Thanks.
