Yah its motorized. That button i mounted on the side opens and closes it and all the necessary controls are on the front of the screen.

Its very difficult to do. i had to do alot of cutting, sanding, fitting etc. Unless ur very good at stuff like that, and know enough about electronics, i wouldnt really recommend it.

Any chance we can get a rough DIY with parts needed, steps for installation... etc.?

Also what are the input's for the screen you used, are you planning on doing using it for NAV or for vid's?

Nice install!

That looks really good! Just wondering what screen you used and what kind of work it took to get it in there.

looks good, But

1.. it doesnt look like it comes out far enough (looks like its tilted slightly down when open.

2.. you need to make a different trim piece so that it fits in the hole better.

other than that

Thanks for the comments.

Yah i need to clean up the look of it bigtime. Right now im just glad it works. Ill post pics once i fix it up a bit.

Also, the screen comes out as far as it possibly can. its not at the exact angle of the rest of the dash, but its still tilted up and faces the driver and passenger's face almost perfectly.

I just installed it over top of the deck. All i need to do now is buy a blitzsafe adapter so i can get the sound in the factory deck. Anyone selling one?

The radio knobs have blue LEDs behind them, the rest of my interior lights are white. (with the exception of the gauges and the A/C knobs.

Ill post a DIY soon. after i finish fixing everything.

Also: does anyone know how i can post a video clip on this forum? Thanks.

Thanks. Yah u have to make the Din smaller. i had to cut the sides of the actual deck to make it fit. I still need to buy a dvd player and then i'll figure out where to put it. But the face of the DVD player i plan on putting in the sunglasses compartment. So i can control it all from there.

Thanks.

Total cost me120$ for the screen including shipping (ebay). Install i did myself, although i gota fix it up a bit still.

I cut under under the track for the screen on the din sized deck and put all the electronic components right on top of the CD player on the bose deck (had to take top cover off to make room). I also used the two screws that go into the side of the CD tray above the deck and screwd them into the TV's case, so its one piece. Sounds easy, but very difficult.

Search for "INNOVATEK TM-705 7" IN-DASH MOTORIZED TFT CAR COLOR LCD" and you'll find the model he installed. It looked like he did a lot of work in removing the bottom half of the DIN unit and rewiring it to fit.
