Pic Request: Windshield Tint

Hey, im thinking about tinting my entire car including the windshield. i only wanna go about 45% on the windshiled, and probably 5% on all of the other windows. I know being in jersey im just asking for trouble with the limo tint, but i may just end up taking my chances. does anybody have pics of their tl with the windshield tinted + list how much percent is on it. thanks.

Damn those reds look good! I wish I had the the big "sack" to put tint on my windshield. I would get jacked up in a heartbeat here in CO doin that. Looks so, so good though. I could probably get away with 50% with my tan interior...hmmm

tell me about it haha... no trust me im in central jersey its bad anywhere in jersey with the cops... but i have some of those p.b.a cards now and i know that almost all cops will let you off for tinted windows with them (from experience on my old car and from friends experiences) i love the look of a blacked out car too it just looks so much cleaner in my opinion, and i like to not be seen haha... i just need a reference to a tint shop in the area and a price i should be paying... and some advice on the visibility at night with a tinted windshield

$300 for the entire car & $100 for the windshield.......that includes 3m tint products moleskins to prevent damage to the tint (scratches) and the front windshield labor takes about 1hr and change to install.

It's pretty dark but you're able to see outside and admires won't be able to see you. Checkout lorenzotint.com

Whats this thing about dark tint, that you're going to die. If you have dark tint.....from the outside you can't see in but from the inside you can see out with no problem. You should change your name to Ridinsafe or very safe because your talking about 50% or higher.........you shouldn't get tint at all.

I have 15% all around, and at night i have to lower my windows when i try to reverse park or reverse at all because i cant even see my side mirrors. I could just imagine driving at night with 5% on the windshield. Thats why i said that, so yea dont take my opinion so personal.

Yeah........that's true, you do have to roll down window to reverse or park.

At night you cannot see anything through your side mirrors if you have dark tints, hence putting down your windows to reverse park for example. And stop trying to be an ass for no reason. Get a fukin life.

Anyways, i dont suggest you guys get dark tints on the windshield. It may become a problem later on.

got no pics, but the past two cars ive had i went with 12% on the sides, 35% on the front and rear windshields....

in case the po-po is following from behind, at least he's lookin at 35%

just another option for you

The po-po pulls you over for the front windows being tinted... not the back.

what im sayin is down here if a cop is following you and your rear windshield is illegally tinted, they'll pull you... if it's legal they MIGHT not notice that the sides are too dark. for me, i roll w/ my front two windows down most of the time anyways, if i see a cop i hit the rears immediately

if a cop is in front of you and you're approaching them w/ a front windshield tinted, then yeah cross your fingers and pray....

but if they're following you from behind, and you've got 35% on the rear vs. say, 5%, you've got a li'l bit more of a chance of them not caring.... the way i figure

other thing i forgot to mention is the law's different depending on what state you're in, of course....

down here it's 35% sides/rear, nothing on the front except a 4" strip on the top of the front windshield.. trucks/ vans/suv's can have anything they want on the backs, but 35% is the darkest they can go on the front two windows

i have to do the same thing w/ 5% all around and nothing on the windshield. I would not get the front done darker than 35..especially if you're trying to dodge potholes

here is my input on this subject. I haven't had my TL for long, but I got 20% all around and I think that it looks terrific. I wouldn't go any lower than 20%. The reason for that is that not all streets are well lit and second, COPS. I know you can get away from a ticket, but dont' keep you fingers crossed all the time. So why risk it.

Ok the windshield tint...my personal opinion, it is simply not necessary. I have to agree, some ladies might want to see us guys pimping in TLs. Or on other hand, you guys might want to see a girl driving on TL...how hot is that? haha.

Ok now to the price mark. I have got mine done for $170 lifetime warranty. That's inlcuding moonroof and all 5 windows. It was done by a guy here in OK, Tulsa that has been tinting for 15 years now. He puts his name behind his job (if anything goes wrong, he replaces free of charge).
If you want pictures, there is picture of a dark blue TL with 20% all around...I think it looks perfect, not to dark (can see outside) and not too light (can still peak your nose when needed lol).
