oh and... the lip matters with offset..

so a 18x8+45 will have like.. no lip while a 18x8 +37 will have like 1 inch... and a 18x8 +29 will have like.. 2 inch or so.

there you are exact widths, but the disc type and offset are what really determines the lip of a wheel fyi

ok heres what i want to do im trying to do either an 18 or 19 inch rim by 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the back but mad people are telling me its going to be quite hard to do because this car has such a high offset. now after i sdaw what 02actclean did i was amazed and i knew anything was possible. but major work had to be done to fit those wheels and i dont want to go through all that trouble. rolled fenders, shaved bumper, front splash guard taken off and banged out wheel well really? too much work just to fit rims. so in other words what offset would i have to do on the car to give it a staggered look? anyone please comments welcomed help me here...... thanks guys

well by going x 8.5 amd x9.5 your going to have a staggered look already, now imho making wheels fit isnt really to hard all I did for mine was get an angle grinder and started grinding away, very simple, im pretty sure I can fit x10 in the rear if I wanted and probably will go that route soon

my 9.5's? all I needed to do was shave the rear tabs and thats it. You can make 9.5's fit easily and you always have the choice of running negative camber. But right now im running 0 camber its its perfectly flush with a slight poke.

For what i did it was a precaution. up in the rear fender is this nasty piece of metal that would destroy a tire. so i folded it back. I also rolled and shaved FENDER... and shaved bumper tabs.

I adjusted my camber recently.. its prolly about 0 degrees.. you would be amazed at the tiny amount of clearance i have between my wheel and fender.. its about 2-3mm. I'll take a pic. Heres a pic from a couple weekends ago with maybe 3 degrees of camber in the rear.. its super flush now.
