The 07 wheels are coming off just because when i have a back seat full of people they rub on the fender, and i dont want to mess around with rolling the fenders. So look for them in the black market soon.

So how many peeps do you put in the back to get it to rub anyway?
BTW the rest of the car looks great, just not feeling the wheels.
A better fittment might be in order.

i don't think the wheels look bad at all. i think it's the tire size that needs to be adjusted to minimize rubbing and improve look. also some kind of drop may be needed (but may conflict with the rubbing)

 

p.s. is that two satellite radio antennas?

 

I just don't like those rims in general. Not even on the 07 TL-S. I prefer the 04+ A-spec rims.

i'm not really feelin the new type s wheels in the first place - so it's not just your car. i think acura could have done a better job with wheels on the 07's. i would take them off too just because it doesn't really look right and also b/c you're not dropped. the new wheels are probably a little too wide w/o rubbing anyway. the rest of the car looks great btw.

 

As of today i have the original type S wheels back on. I liked the look of the gun metal wheels on a black car, but they did stick out a little far for not being lowered at all.

As for the 2 atennas one is for XM the other is for my navigation system.

 

....the aspec rims are just plan sick.....

 

I thought about going with gunmetal rims on my TL but those make me think twice. I'll keep my TL-S wheels stock.

 

the color isn't bad its the design of the rim they look like shit, acura really fucked up when they made them, and they should have at least gone with a bigger rims seeing as the 3rd gen non type s already comes on 17"....

 

I support creativity, but that looks absolutely horrible.

 

i think they stick out too much on the side.... and have a big gap b/w the wheel arch.... stick with the original 03 type s rim ....

 

Do you live in Marietta / Atlanta? Saw a black TL with those rims today, just off Dallas Highway near Barrett Parkway - was this you coming out of Target?

As others have said, those rims aren't sexy on the TL. Do you have 2 satellite antennas - one on the roof above the windshield and on the trunk?
