New RL chrome center caps on TL!! PICS!!
Folks,
My old chrome center caps on my stock 17" TL-s chrome wheels were looking tired, plus I lost one and got a replacement minus the "A" logo black vinyl sticker...nasty!!
So, I got the new chrome wheel center caps that come on the new chrome option RL's. It's a perfect fit and very tight fitting and tight looking!! Here are my install pics:
Here is my before chrome cap
Here is the packaging for the new cap. Comes with the cap, the plastic chrome A logo and two mini rivets that hold it to the cap. The red is just a film that covers the adhesive on the back outer edge of the emblem, but the holes make it impossible to put on crooked. I just made sure the cap was clean using alchohol before putting it the holes and pressing for a seal on the edges. As you can see, here are the part numbers. I got all 4 for $64 including tax. $15 each at the local Acura dealer.
Here is the cap assembled
Here is the back of the cap. All I did was put the emblem in the holes and pushed the rivets on to the exposed posts. I used a flat head screwdriver to push them nice and snug to the cap. Very cool design!
Here is the final product on my car. I think it is a classy look and no more black vinyl stickers. For you folks with RonJon or chrome Acura wheels, you may want to look into these. They may work for other aftermarket wheels as well. I can assure you, these will absolutely fit on the 2nd Gen TL Type S wheels.

The roads here in CO are still pretty tore up from this crazy ass winter, so before I damage them any further, they are cleaned and boxed up until we move to Atlanta in a few months. 35 series tires make for a horrible ride, at least here on our streets. I forgot how nice my car rides with 17's
I think we may be the only ones with OEM chromies..lets build a clubhouse LOL

Damn, Blazin? Not sure why. These are "stock" caps, I thought RonJon's were designed to allow for keeping the factory caps? They don't click in easy, you gotta square it up and tap it in pretty hard. Mine didn't seem like they fit at first, but they clicked in!
