New ddm 6000k 55watt hid kit installed!

extremely bright! way brighter than my old 35watt kit from hidextra..
installation was easy, but i did spend an hour or so trynna put the bulb in and getting the pin to hold it firm. the ignitor is bulkier than the one i had before.
i highly recommend this kit!

it didnt come with the harness to plug to the oem harness so i just left the harness from the hidextra kit i had before.
Bent the pin alil to the side (not the part where u push down and lock but the opposite part of the pin where it holds firmly) and it gripped on.

OP,
My ballasts are pretty much dead and I'm thinking about getting the 55W as an upgrade/replacement. Have you experienced any heating issues? Are you using a relay kit or the stock wiring to power the ballasts?
Thanks

nice work, very bright!
iv been running a slim external ballast and ignitor 35 watt 5k bulbs for over 2 years no problems. Had to drill a small hole in the headlight to feed the wire in and sealed it up with silicon, works great no leaks. Great thing about external kits is that they are water proof and a million times cheaper than an oem replacement ballast.
for those of you looking to install these kits, i just snipped off the old wires from the oem ballast and used them + and - 12 volts for the new ballast, zipped tied the external ballast to the headlight unit, and drilled a small hole to feed the wire in, sealed it all up, done.
