lol i used to. i got my mats detailed once after one summer of just tracking cement, mud, and asphalt in (they were doing construction like every freakin day and the stuff just stuck like hell to teh mats).

the place i took it to was an upholestry cleaner and of course they got them out. i had them out for a few days while they were drying in apartment and i since then i havent put them back in. its cleaner, imo lol

yaht teh camera doesnt do it any justice

this only happens if you dont disconnect the battery before unpluggin the harnesses.

1) move seats all the way back. unbolt 2 bolts per seat in the front.
2) move seats all the way forward. unbolt one bolt thats facing the center console and unbolt one bolt thats on the outter part of the seat, towards the doors. Now 4 bolts have been unbolted.
3) disconnect the battery
4) rip those seats out (you'll see you have to unconnect a 2-3 harnesses per seat. i tilted the driver seat forward to remove the ones for the driver seat and i tilted the passenger seat backwards to disconnect 2 harnesses.

btw to remove the console there are 2 bolts inside the armrest that bolt to the floor and 2-4 under the woodgrain piece that you can see removed in the picture that connect the armrest-console to the gearbox-console.

happy detailing
