Wink Malayalee King Meets Megan

yes, some issues

between 1K-2K the engine moves forward due to the amounts of torque in the low band, and when you hit vtec it moves forward. needless to say, it hits the frame = vibration!

but we can fix this... We can rebuild you. Better. Stronger. Faster. We have the technology

He said the downpipe is hitting the subframe. You can see it in the red square section of the big picture.

Malayalee -- That sucks, dude. Have you talked to the manufacturer about it??

^ yah i had edited while he was posting.

megan says teh same thing every time -- "this is the first time i've heard of this" or "they were supposed to be corrected in this batch" or the ever popular "we sell headers?"

put a sticky padding on the pipe so that wen i hits the frame it wont vibrate. i did this with my sri where it was hitting the metal so i put 3m tape with the padding on 1 side and it dosent scratch it ne more.

Lightbulb Update

So after some investigative work, I did confirm where the pipe was hitting the frame (just making sure)

Prep...double sided tape and painters masking paper

And the verdict...after hitting 80 a couple times

fine,

Eh, find out from megan or someone else on howto tell the latest batch. The guy on ebay couldve "accidently" sent you the wrong one.

I wouldnt be so quick to cut my frame for a header, Megan is usually good about upgrading batches if you tell em the problem. Might have to pay shipping or something or a small fee.

yeah but why bother doing all that? just wrap the headers tight and be done with it. that's what i did. no problems since. enjoy your cheap horsepower.

I had those and threw them in the trash. Those headers are garbage, you definitely get what you pay for...
