yeah, i've been meaning to get some newer tails. tint is already below legal limit. i think i'm going to have one of the exhaust resonators removed. doesn't that give it the beefier tone?

i was on deployment for two months and had very limited internet access so i was not really able to do much research, but i knew that as soon as i got back i'd need some new wheels and tires (for state inspection). so i ordered these....

i love the way they look, but we'll see how they look in person. they are coming with toyo px-4's 225/40/18

my tint is 35 all around. va law says up to 35% in the back, but only 50% in the front, but i said that's sooo tacky looking, so i did 35 all around.... when i get my car registered in ky i'll probably drop it to 20.

I like how all the FPR people started chiming in. Car looks great on H&R sports, IMO looks like just the right amount of drop for daily driving. Be sure to post up pics with the rims.

Dude - that was soooo LAST WEEK. You know how this forum beats you down into submission. Was telling 01TL4TL earlier that I'm at a point where I keep telling myself to stop spending money on the ride, but that I've got my eyes on a few performance mods.....

don't worry too much about tint laws ... atleast from my experience i live in northern virginia and my windows are at 15, and i have not been hassled... knock on wood ... so if u really wanna get them darker you should go for it, and even if u do get pulled over you should just look at as a tax for having a good lookin car

They're 225/40/18. General Exclaim UHP - excellent tire for the money so far. I've heard from many people about these tires and I have not been disappointed.

What's the offset? I had to cut the rear tabs. Jack up the front corners as high as you can to get a sense of how much and where you need to trim. Grinding or rolling the rear fenders may be necessary as well - usually in the 12:00 position. You'll see when you jack up the front.

the offset is 45mm. i don't think it's the offset, i think the car was too low because it would only rub when i went over bumps and whatnot, but it doesn't rub very much anymore, but i didn't take into account at the time i had my stock wheels in the trunk so that probably weighed it down with my drop. but i just finished an 11 hour drive to ky and haven't heard any more rubbing, but just for shits and giggles i'm going to take a look during my visit here in louisville. my next issue is going to be getting a key for these lugs. the idiots didn't put the key in my package, i found this out after i was in the auto hobby shop with all four of my stock wheels off, only to have to drive from tire center to tire center looking for a key for these lugs. luckily pep boys had one and they put my wheels on for me. the guys i ordered the wheels from are sending me new lugs with a key, but that's going to be in va, and i want to have a key here in ky just incase anything happens. does anyone know of any companies that might sell this key? or should i just buy a whole new set of lugs with a key? i'm going to see if i can get my alignment sometime this week and a camber kit if needed.

i noticed on my way to ky sitting at a stop light, my car was vibrating, i have a feeling it's my motor mounts. just hit 150k so it wouldn't suprise me.

on a lighter note, my driver side headlight stayed on the whole trip so hopefully the ballast issue is over

Had this same problem a few weeks ago after a minor fender-bender. Insurance company repair facility forgot to return the key in the trunk where it goes, and of course, "we didn't do anything with it" was the story I got. Go to a local Acura dealer and pay a tech $20 to swap out the locks with regular lugs. A new set of lugs will cost you $50 from the dealer and it's a 10-day order apparently as I was told they don't hold stock on these.

i don't think the dealer will carry any lugnuts that'll work with these wheels... the lugnuts that are on there are 12mmx1.5 and the stock lugnuts will definately not fit. grrr
