LED dash progress

So heres where I'm at....A quick pic. I will post more about it tomorrow...I know its not the greatest pic, but what do ya guys think?

Are those hotspots or is it just the pic?

where all other buttons from dash?
i can see a/c mode and air flow buttons

The shiftgate just never shows up good in pics....The only hotspot is on the temperature selection knob, on the very bottom right.
I have yet to get around to the other buttons.
And I am using neither pnp or ledautomotive kit, I am just taking some 5mm leds and doing it myself.

I cant get the defrosters to show up blue, because the inside of the button is yellow, so thats what shows through....Any ideas?

I don't believe theres anything you can do about that. correct me if Im wrong but when I got mine done I had no choice. I just did the AC part all white and the defrost shines a brighter yellow and looks good.

edit: also for the hotspots try putting a piece of tissue paper underneath the template to reduce the hotspot

remove filter or add another LED, i've put red + black tape.

I will try that. And yeah, the soldering method.

I also want to change all button and meter lights into LED lights, but I couldn't find the page telling you how to install step by step and which type of LED bulbs for each panel buttons......HELP!!!!!

^go to second gen DIY thread and look for "BULB APPLICATION" under lighting subsection.
