Just finished installing my body kit

I know all of you have seen these types of pic before, but I'm proud of my work so I will showcase it!! The install really didn't take that long. I got home early from work so I decided to do it before it rains again!!

Nice Job!!!

The kit totally changes the appearance of the TLS. Makes it look so much more aggressive and sporty. Get ready for all the stares

Thanks fellas for the compliments. Installing the kit wasn't as bad as I thought. The rear and sides were easier than falling down. I thought the front would be bad since the instructions wanted me to remove the bumper, drill nine holes, use masking tape for something. All I did was mount the front lip with the car jacked up, pre-drilled about 6 holes for the bolts and tighted it up using the supplied bumper bolts!

If I had to do it again it would probably take me about an hour to do everything!!

Rich,
The car looks great. Glad you decided on the bodykit. Nice job on the install too. See you around Queens.

Thumbs up

Looking good Rich!!! Pretty easy to install isn't it? It's crazy what a dealer charges.

Did you get to use the rear piece?

Hey when you had to drill the holes in the front, what size drill did you have to use?

Ok, here is where it got weird. The instruction say to locate the 9 dimple holes on the underside of the bumper and use a 3mm and a 10mm bit to make the hole. If there are no dimples on the bumper, I can align the underbody spoiler with the bumper and locate it that way. Well there are NO dimples on the bumper or underbody spoiler. Just holes where it's suppose to attach.

Anyway, I went to Sears hardware and bought a self tapping hex head screw. I figured if the bumper bolts supplied were used a 10mm socket, maybe if I made the hole with a 10mm self tapping screw it would work. It worked perfect. I used the self tapping screw like a drill bit and pre-drilled the holes and used the supplied bolts to hold it in place!

They aren't "dimples". It's marked with a "crosshair" of sort.
If you look real close, you will see lines criss crossing each other to show you where to drill.

Trust me when I say there are no dimples or crosshairs. The bottom of my bumper is as smooth as a babies butt!! Either way I didn't need it, I just aligned the bottom piece to the bumper and pre-drilled wherever the bolts were suppose to be! It so much easier than removing the bumper!!

Exactly, thats the way I did it as well.

Who took the bumper off to install the front spoiler?
