Well...today I cleared out my headlights and all I have to say is its a PITA! Its not so much hard as it is tedious. I used the oven technique for the first one I did and I don't think it was as easy as everyone thinks. Getting the amber relfector out is kind of tricky because I was scared of breaking the little piece of chrome in between the blinker and where the reflector was.
Instead of the oven I used a stripper gun (to peel off wallpaper). It gets really hot, but I heated the whole top, then waited for it to cool for a little bit then pryed them apart. When the pieces began to split I used a razor blade to cut the silicone so an even amount remained on each side. To put them back together I tryed to seal them the best I could with just my own strength, then used clamps while I re-heated the silicone with the gun and gently clamped them back together. Just for a little precaution I used some GM Clear Silicone and put a nice even bead around the entire fixture.
Here are the results...I am going to swap out the amber bulb with something else, but haven't decided just what yet....

Washed the car today and really let the headlights get soaked...even opened the hood and sprayed water directly on top of them (without the spray nozzle..so it can hit the lights direct) and no leaks or fogging.
