Its been a while....
I havnt had the chance to post anything new in a while, mainly because well I havnt been up to anything with the car.
Life has had me very busy, the wife and I purchased our first home and every cent and minute went into that.
I managed to neglect the TL to the point of harm, my alignment was off and shreded the inside of my tires. The strips coming off the tires ripped a hole in my cv boot, kind of a yell from her saying "pay attention to me". So the last 2 months I have been busy.
At this point I needed:
-New tires
-Alignement
-CV axle
-Ball joint
-Brake rotors/pads
-Oil change
-Transmission oil/filter
I also wanted spacers for the wheels, and plastidip the chrome around the doors.
I managed to get the parts needed and installed/painted everything in the same week. I am fortunate enough to carpool with with my wife so I could afford the down time, I managed to get the parts and install/paint everything in about 2 weeks.
My current set up with 5mm spacers is +31 on 215/40 Nitto neogen tires on a 18x8 up front and +37 on 215/40 on 18x9 in the rear.
With the wheels, I got the idea from a 3g member. I plastidipped the wheels and layed a couple of coats of grey metallic over that, so far holding up. In theory ill be able to peel off the paint when im ready.
On to the pictures, nothing fancy. Enjoy....

No mo chrome!!!

First picture is my fave lol. Looks really nice with no kit, i hate those ebay headlights though. How its black from the lowbeam to highbeam but not black for the turn signal. Just makes it look off to me.

^yeah .. that's the only thing i dislike about the ebay headlights. it would've flowed alot nicer with the turn signal area blacked out as well. i guess the good thing about them is that it comes with the white clear diffuser piece.
and OP, that's a good idea about spraying your rims with plastidip first and then laying over the coat of paint you wanted. it's nice knowing you can just peel it off. hate having to know that you gotta use paint stripper.. sand.. etc just to get the desired look and if you don't like it in the end, it's just a time consuming process.

Thanks, yeah I kind of wanted a lighter grey but it works. Thanks. You have 7.5 up front and 10 inch wheels in the back?
Post pics before you take em off!
