Tranny problems??? PLEASE HELP

HI, I'M NEW HERE BUT I'VE HAD MY 2.5TL FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW.I BOUGHT IT AROUND SEPT. LAST YEAR AND EVERYTHING WAS GOING SMOOTHLY UNTIL ABOUT A WEEK AGO WHEN THE SHIFTS FROM 1-2 GOT KINDA ROUGH.... I RECENTLY TOOK IT TO THE MANUFACTURER TO SEE IF I WOULD NEED A FLUSH, BUT THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IT MAY MAKE IT BETTER FOR A LITTLE WHILE.... BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT ITS ON ITS LAST LEG.....

I HAVE 149,000 MILES ON IT NOW... BUT CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THEY'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT THEY DID...... AND WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT A FLUSH COULD FIX THE PROBLEM.

Neither.. Drain and fill but changing the filter can help a lot.. Never flush transmission, it generates heat that that kills in internals in tranny..

What's the difference between 'draining' and 'flushing' the tranny? Does 'flushing' involve cleaning everything of the old stuff? So you've got to be nice to it?
