I hope that 'bye' is a goodbye forever. Show us what you have come up with on your own to match it. Until then quit your bitching. If you hadn't been such a douchebag to begin with maybe you would have gotten some more help.

Besides he's already pretty much said how to do most of it if you were paying attention, and if you're so damn smart you should have been able to figure out the rest yourself...I did.

good job prostar, clap clap

its not about me being not able to do my diy, its about going on a forum where its ment for information to be shared, and help out others, but with this guy if u told him that u would pay him to do it, he would jump on that in an instant, instead of giving information for free..

He's given out a ton of information for free, you just have to ask nicely. And as for making money, I doubt he's making a killing off of this, he's only taking advantage of the fact that most people would be willing to pay for something they couldn't otherwise do easily for themselves. I was never going to pay him anything and he helped me out, along with countless other people that didn't bash him all over the place including his own threads.

Don't act like your standing up for everyone else either, you're the only one that seems truly pissed off about this.

But, whatever, I suppose it is still your right to bitch endlessly about something so unimportant. I have to go to class.

You truly are an idiot.

Ontario spent several hours trynna figure out so much stuff. He helped A LOT of people with information. People asked him to do their gauges for $$ and he came up with a price he thought was honest. If you're too much of a dumbass to understand the fact that it's a time consuming project that requires skills and time, and that he has absolutly no obligation to share his work/skills for free (yet he did), then you should just do all the work on your own and stop bitching.

And if his gauges are crap, then why are you complaining about the suposed lack of information about the -DIY- ? Why are you even in this thread?

just get outta here man.

(oh yeah, go ahead. bitch at me, you thug. )

out on ppl that he doesnt know at all.

hey if i had the money rite now i be all over this in an instant. i wouldnt mind paying for a mod like that along with others who dont have the experience has ontarioTl. fuk and he has helped out everyone with questions dispite his time busy life to come on here and reply to those. as if u read the whole thing he is trying to write a diy but cant because he is busy with his own projects and helping others with theirs. now we are all fine waiting for a diy on this as i am also but just because we all want one doesnt mean it can just take a whole day of to do one.

we all here are very grateful on his help and plan on supporting him all the way. and even if a month or 2 later alot of us would probaly still be waiting for a diy if (god hopes) his does decide to do one dispite ur wat u say.

Plus no one here was complaining abt money in the first place, not one of us has said tat is too much or anything, and we offered to pay him to do this before he "charged" us. so i dont see how u came up with this conclusion of him making a profit. even if he did which no one is saying he is more power to him, because he is doing us a service.

OntarioTl if u do make a diy please pm on it and thanks. to bad their are middle wannabe gangsters out their that think they can say whatever they want.

I go away for a bit and my email sends me an update of this post.....interesting read...

Truly, should I even bother to reply? You know Murdaz, you sent me a PM a long time ago to ask how much I charge and I told you. If you didnt like it fine, I really don't give a shit. Let it go, if you think my stuff is shit then move on....really I don't care.

I'm not going to make a website as I already have a steady job that pays me well. I'm not doing this to get rich, far from it. If I wanted to make money, then I would have advertised installations, and slapped together and packaged my cluster mod already, or even charged for a DIY. I don't have a DIY as my original concept has gone from wiring and hotglue to board level construction and more leds. Which I have to remind you, that it was thanks to you that made my decision to not make a DIY on my old concept. I don't share info with assholes.

I apologized as I know many are waiting.....would you rather that I dont say a fucking word and leave everyone still hanging? I'm giving updates on whats going on, thats all I can do at this point. Make your own fucking DIY, figure it out on your own. I had to.....so why can't you? Then you share it to the ones who can't wait (the ones you claim to be the voice for), and you become the hero of the hour and not me......I really don't fucking care.

You still cry about the 300 bucks? Do I need to work endlessly another 18 hours straight to mod someones car? nah not really anymore (speaking of which, he never did send me an email attachment of his shifter so I could laser print a new label). That's why I've stopped doing it. Guess you didnt take into consideration that I have to remove the cluster, center console, all the door panels, and then reinstall after modification? How about you find out how much labour per hour it is to install a custom stereo system. Thats right, I dont make money on the leds, its more for the labor and materials like anything else (which barely covers the fact I loose a spare day off). There are plenty of LED DIY for the buttons, clock, climate control etc that are on here and other places that I contributed to...such as LEDautomotive. I'm certainly not the first to come up with LED projects and won't be the last so go do it yourself. Honestly you sound like an intelligent guy...just can't communicate like a mature person (maybe should take that in school). I mean really....you PM me, I tell you the cost, and you don't reply but blab it on the forums and throw your buddies in the mix....make stupid comments and keep going on, and on, and on..... like really, you expect me to help you out?

And of course if your buddies PM as well, of course I'm going to reply.....isn't thats whats expected of me? It's a lot easier for me to do the install than to try and teach. Hell I let the ones that came down for the install on their car watch me, and maybe pick up some pointers, and maybe help a buddy out next time. I really didn't care.

So there you go Murdaz....I have replied. Thats all I have to say to you. I'm done going back and forth with you and the insults. All other futher comments will be ignored from now on. I have nothing to prove to you.

PS..bkzjimmy that dummy light is for the emergency brake.

this is a feature that only the cars have. Yours will just say "BRAKE".

As well if you look closely at the top right of the picture you'll also see a light for the windshield washer fluid "low" indicator also only came on the models

my friend who is amazing at soldering took a look at ontarioTl's work and was AMAZED... he told me that it was a great deal of work and the price we all paid to get our clusters done was worth it!

remember, its the time here.. i KNOW how long it took cuz i was there! also, some DIYs are hard.. especially with this type of application where it would take him double or triple the time since he needs to take pictures while doing it and doing it already takes half a day or more..

all i can say is.... OntarioTL did a great job!

this is a site for car lovers who likes to change their car and for ppl to help out each other and talk and give opinions.

your opinion has been acknowledged and will now be ignored. Thank you

but really why are you here to spoil it for everyone else here, as you can see u are the only one who has any kind of issue with this whole thing
if you dont like it or whatever fine no one has a gun to ur face forcing you to "buy" or do this mod. it seems as u are only trying to make him not do a diy for this as you continue to talk abt money even though everyone here who wants this mod would be willing to "pay"

you are free to ur opinion but dont ruin it for others. thank you and please move on with your life

OntarioTL - My first message for you - NICE, REALLY NICE - I'm not one of those who don't know what is soldering and I've been working with solder gun for a long time. Your job looks great and I just want to do something like that for my car. Can you share with me some information about bulbs type and colour filters (if you use them). I've got an idea how to make everything, but I need some experiense from you. Thank you!

Part of me is sad

I see these amazing mods OntarioTL does, and I look at my relatively dinky interior and a bit of me dies everytime I think about it

Even if OntarioTL was gracious enough to give me some of his time to work on my car, I'd want to wait until I get my new one next year anyways, and who knows how long he'll decide to devote his time to doing these sort of things for the community. OntarioTL, I applaud you for the quality of your work and for being willing to help out those in the community.

So bloody what if he charges money for his work? It's downright dirt cheap and the mans work is amazing. I PM'd OntarioTL about cost a while ago, and while I didn't get a response (don't worry about it), I was honestly expecting to hear something closer to $1,000 for him to do this sort of work. I don't know if the aforementioned $300 pricetag is what he's charging everyone or just those he considers close friends, but either way it's a very reasonable price and I'd gladly pay more if he required it.

Even when he does get around to posting his DIY, I know I won't have the knowlege and skill to execute it properly... at least the me of today won't. The me of tomorrow? That might be a different story, but it's people like OntarioTL and other great people in this community who choose to share their knowledge and experience with n00bs like me who will get me to the next levels in my education about these sort of things.

Anyways... enough rambling on...

BTW... YOU KICK VERY MUCH ASS ONTARIOTL! If you live anywhere near Toronto, I'd like to buy you a Johnny's hamburger one day
