Honda Inspire Conversion

For all you 99-01 TLers wishing to do the JDM conversion, forget paying big bucks for the JDM 'H' Emblem, just go to the Honda dealer and get the rear "H" from a 2000 Accord. I'll post the part number tomorrow. :beerchug:

My recent add-ons:

Acura Silver Stars=Honda Silver Stars

More stuff to come early next week. I'll post more pics when those 'parts' come. :bigok:

Looking real good.....I like....where did you get the "H" for the wheels.....Would the 2000 accord "H' fit the front as well.

thats not the same H. for the '02-'03 it is slightly bigger than that and for the '99-'01 its a bit smaller and it doesnt have the holes... its like the indiglo emblems that are on ebay. there is no space between the H and the border, its filled in.

The H for the rims are from the Honda Silver Stars Center Cap. The Silver Stars are optional rims for the Honda Accord Coupe/SI models. I went to Honda and just asked for the emblems themselves.

The "H" will not fit our grills in the front, because of the shape. Our "A" symbol has a round border whereas the "H" emblem has a rectangular shape.

For the front, I am getting my chrome outer portion painted the body color and having just meshing filling in the middle. I should have it on mid week. I'll post pics when that's done.

The part number for the Rear "H" is 75701-S84-A00

those rims are absolutely wicked (what are they?). post a shot of the whole car with rims and all. looks slick man, though ive never understood why people would change their acura badging to honda. the acura A logo looks so much better than the honda H. whatever... either way it is a slick ride. also what kind of rotors are you running? im thinkin about getting some drilled and slotted rotors for my tl cause these stock whores are just pure shit, im thinkin brembo's? any advice?

Or that moron in my neighborhood with the ''SKYLINE'' license plate frame when in reality he has a G35 coupe.

I do like the Inspire idea from an enthusiast's point-of-view, but the problem with having the conversion is that no one will have any idea what the hell you are driving. Or maybe that's a good thing, the element of surprise!

JDM Conversions are sweet. ANyone that says otherwise is lame. Anyone know a good place to get the JDM grill for a 99-01 TL?

THanks

umm.. the infiniti G35 is actually the nissan skyline GT35 over the seas. There are a lot of people that debadged the I N F I N I T I letters on the rear and put S K Y L I N E instaed. then popped the G35 emblems and got the red GT35 emblems. and of course the infiniti logo to the nissan logo. it actually looks nicer and sounds better.

After thinking about a conversion for my car. I will have to pass. It actually cheapens the look because we are in North Amercia where Image is everything. The guy driving beside might think its a hopped up Accord vs a stylish Acura. I am going to stick to Acura.

I agree with you madcat....I dunno, I'd just rather drive and Acura than a Honda, I mean I know it's the same thing but, wouldn't you rather drive an infinity than a nissan? Just my personal opinion anyway.....

by switching the emblems, am I somehow downgrading the quality of the car? No. I give up. If you don't like it, well nothing I can do about it.

got HOA badges in the BM here

front inspire grill off of AJ

type s license plate from the BM as well, i plasti dipped the letters black, so it gives it the JDM look
