Half Black Interior...JDM YO (i hate brown, pic heavy)
hey whats up guys, i haven't ever seen this done on a 2nd gen tl so i thought id give it a shot. I was inspired by the Honda Inspire, our old 08 TL, and my old volvo, all of which have a similar color combination. I took tons of pictures documenting the progress and here are a few:

hope yall enjoyed! there are still a couple of little things to finish up, gotta get the drivers side door panel touched up and the drivers side rear door handle in black.

overall i am very happy with this modification, i HATED the brown color that came in the car and have always wanted to do this.

Thats exactly what I wanna do! And also put a black suede headliner and pillars.

Where did you find those door panels? Did they come with the black top, or is that a separate piece?

those door panels are the original, and have been professionally painted black on top.

it mayy be possible to separate the upper part from the panel and replace it with a black one, but i didnt want to get into that just yet.
you would need to drill out the plastic rivet weld deals and then find someway to put it all back together. if the paint doesnt hold up then ill go that route.

no, but i had to cover the hole with something! haha

those buttons are going to be hooked up to these once i have time to figure out what pins do what

you wont believe me.... but free dash, $80 for the doors, and $50 for all the trim, handles, vents and a tsx perforated shift knob. oh yea, and $100 for the steering wheel.

so 230 for everything that is black.

the handbrake i got a good deal on as well

i got everything except the dash, hand brake, and steering wheel from the junkyard

and the steering wheel is only $100, you just have to know where to find it....

I think it would look even better if you got some black carpet, black floor mats with beige piping, that would look sick
