FINALLY got some pics of my TL-S, reppin' the 808state, to put up here (hoping like hell the pics show up lol)

-02 SSM type-S, black leather interior, oem navi., oem bose, 59k mi.
-tein SS, diavoletto 18x8 et38 fronts, 18x9 et35 rears (in pics the rears are 18x9 et43, the 8mm spacers are currently off the car), oem front lip/side skirts which i had to purchase separately since the car came w/ the ww kit... i kept the ww rear though. cleared headlights, 13% tint.
engine mods arent much, just CAI and custom 2.5" exhaust catback to greddy sp mufflers.
also, cherry verbano trunk overlay w/ barstyle setup
no audiowork yet

by next spring i should be on a custom air setup using easystreet struts and other mix and match parts incl. the tank, valves, compressor, etc. im fallin' behind compared to the other few 2g tl's in hawaii all runnin' airrunner

haha yeah rev's a buddy so to speak, roll by his shop from time to time. his car and brandon's are 100000000x hotter than mines tho.. hence the reason i should consider steppin it up a bit

curtains i got from a friend so i got a hookup price on em, they were used for basically one show then i picked em up so cheaper than retail yet basically new...

playboy mags (i had 3) came with the car when i bought it in apr06 lol

are there curtains only in the back windows? also what size are they?

 

im surprised those wheels fit. did you roll fender or cut tabs?

 

i took a couple other pics of the sides of the car specifically to show the wheel fitment since a lotta people dont believe they fit as well/easy as they do. yeah the fenders are rolled though (rears only) and part of the inner rear bumper lip had to be cut away too, but to me tha's minor (done it on many-a-past vw's)

curtains are size M but the small's fit better, as is the size on rev01's car i believe. right now i only have for the back windows, gotta pick up another pair for the fronts sooner or later.

volly, the 8mm's i use in the back just to give the rears a li'l more aggressive look, pushes the wheel out to the fender just a tad bit more.

s1ck i dunno if there's a site, the brand i got is garson, the ones i have are the regular ones, there's the executive ones too, same thing but the swarvoski (sp)? crystals are different. rev sells sets locally @ his shop down here so a lotta us hawaii guys just roll to his place and pick em up. now some other shops are supposedly bringing em in too but the prices arent cheap. (well they werent to begin with) other companies make too, i believe anceltion is another popular one.

reg. price is like $250/$275 exec for a PAIR
then rev had a sale and they were down to like 180/210 or so but that was a few months ago. i dunno where he brings em in from or anything though.

whassup man who're you? dont think i met you before. reason you dont see the car on the roads is 'cause its unregistered (and cant be for another 6mo due to my fkd driving record/misc. infractions/etc)

dunno if you roll by ward area often but i work around there and the car's been out there for a year at least up until march of this year. no license for me for 1yr SO the car just sits, it's seriously moved bout 1/2 a mile from mid-march til now. thas why pics are only up now, the car's looked like this since before summer. lol.

navi's in the car 'cause this car originally came from cali... then someone brought it down,then warren-G owned it, then me. i havent seen many/any other navi's down here really, and furthermore i dont even know what a 2g tl dash looks like w./out navi haha ??

wussupp man....we hardly represent our team anymore...team shinobe' was our name ... dunno if you seen our cars in the streetcarshow off back in 04, 05...i guess we got tired of the race scene...been there done that...but i miss going to them Freeway late night runs over 200+ cars pacing each other or a few race heads racing...it was the shit ...now just wanna go vip mode and luxury and cruise......I know the vip scene was around for a while now in hawaii,but i wasnt really into it back then..i guess when you get older you can keep a better paid job and finally afford to buy highpriced cars...my motto.."if you buy a car that priced more then you make in a year...dont buy it."

haha yeah i think i seen some of that team from a few yrs back, thing is in 04 i first bought my previous acura, 98 3.0CL

before that i was (still am actually) hard up on the vw/audi/VAG scene, if you recall ever seen projekt-V around (all vw crew and they're still out there but not as strong) i made that shit in 01 w/ a couple few good friends of mine.

lotta us are older and more chillout now too haha.... but yeah i still miss those EVERY nite late nite freeway missions too, we did those lots like 4-5-6x a week sometimes lol
