Engine bay brought back to life

I gotta thank DaveRubino for telling me exactly which paint to buy

1 base coat of sliver mettalic
2 coats of red Duplicolor metalcast
and a very pissed off girlfriend













What do you guys think?

Im gonna color match the intake this weekend if its not too cold

yea i did but im gonna repaint the intake cause the color is a shade or two off

Want a better job? Scuff the covers up with a 3m scuff pad, get some high build primer and apply several coats of that (untill the rough texture of the covers is gone). Sand it smooth and reapply teh metalcast primer and color!

ill redo them once they start to chip. i didnt feel like scuffing them up. would there be a real noticible difference?

Nice stuff, I recently did the same mod you did a month ago, I scuffed mine up and got rid of "some" rough textures, but i overed sprayed in some areas:

You should have scuffed it up tobegin with (prep is the most important thing to a good finish)

Yes you will see a difference. Its hard to tell from these pics, but they are as smooth as the finish on the car
