Dropped... long...
Dropped... long...
Well, I finally dropped my car and installed a couple other goodies.
Installed...
Ksport Coilovers
Rotora slotted + stock pads
Before rolling on H&R Sports 50103's

After with ksports dropped

First off since I drive in DC daily I'm probably going to bring the front up about half an inch to help with the crappy roads and clearing drive way entrances. I know it's kind of raked right now but I'll correct that once the weather improves.
The drop spec's measuring from the fender to the ground:
For reference I measured the stock ride height at a recent meet of another TL-S
Stock:
Front 28"
Rear 27.5"
After the drop:
Front 25" - 3 inch drop
Rear 26" (hence the rake) 1.5 inch drop
Installation went smoothly on both the rotors and the coilovers. One thing to make note of since the ksports have dampening be sure you put the dampening adjustment knob in before installing the rear coilovers. I forgot to put them in and had to remove the rear suspension after the initial install.
After breaking in the suspension and brakes I'm working on dialing in the suspension to my needs. First off the ksports are really stiff. Stiff to the point where you feel every bump. I have the dampening set to its softest setting on both the front and the rear which has helped immensely.
Here are some pics from the install.

The NSX's is a friend of SoyBoy's brothers and it's superchargered. I encourage anyone who has the money to pickup an older NSX and supercharge it. This car is amazing and pretty much my dream car. If I wasn't trying to buy a house I would be searching for a clean used NSX.
I’ll post up better pictures of the drop once the weather clears in our area. My car is a salt pig from this mornings drive into DC.
The next mods on the way are: UR Pulley, Comptech ice-box and installation of a custom tuned Unichip.
Thanks to SoyBoy once again for hooking me up with the install!

Thanks Guys!
JP, Brian still has his red NSX and is now rolling on some sick rims. The silver NSX is one of his friends. The car is ridiculously fast...
In regards to the dampening question... it's adjustable and on the softest setting on all 4 corners. It's still mad stiff though. We did the install a couple weeks ago when it was actually in the 60's down here.

maybe its because we have better roads down here- but they really only bother me when i gotta go- otherwise it is a little bouncy but that is typical of the car being lowered.. and the handling is so worth it

I'll hit you up sometime soon and we can go for a ride. For comparison purposes maybe SoyBoy26 can be there (he has Apexi coilovers)

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll post up better pictures once I get things leveled out. My ice-box should be in on Friday and that will be my last mod for a long time.

The H&R's were a good setup and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonable drop. I think in my case not getting new struts to match the stiffness of the H&R's made me move to coilovers.
One advantage of the H&R's is that you don't need a camber kit. For the ksports I definitely needed a camber kit due to the 3 inch drop in the front. I went with the front & rear SPC camber kit and have had no issues so far. Naturally I got an alignment after installing the camber kit and coilovers. This is necessary for any spring or coilover install.
One thing to make note of is that if you drop your car anywhere near 3 inches in the front expect to rub on any driveway with a slight incline. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't dropped the back down enough but I end up scraping my front lip once or twice a day.
Thanks for the comments guys. Hopefully we'll have a local photoshoot sometime soon with a real camera.
