!!! Custom Grille (not mesh) !!!
Well I got an idea the other day and decided to go for it. After a couple of months with my mesh grille, I got really tired of how it looked from far away, so I made something completely different. First I made a template of how I wanted it to look:

Then I cut the aluminum in 6" pieces and arranged them in a template frame I made of foamcore board, to get the look I wanted:

Next I took my grille frame that I had cut out and modified for the mesh grille project and market where I would place the metal slats:

I glued the metal in place and then smoothed out the junctions with body filler. After all was said and done, I ended up with this:

I still have some sanding to do on the frame where the body filler is, but it's almost done. I am considering taking the paint off of the front edge of each metal slat and re-attatching the emblem, but I'll do that when I have more time.
Let me know what you guys think...

No offense but it does not fit the car reminds me of when people used to take flat Black paint and paint all the chrome trim on there Monte Carlo's and Cutlass's. Sorry man just being honest

It certainly looks interesting. I don't know whether it's a good look or not, but it's a unique one, for sure. Props to you for being able to achieve a grill that looks like a production model.

Second that on the chrome job. And maybe take it off and find a grinder and take down the top and bottom corners where you would get a curve shape vertically to fit the car's contour and then sell it on ebay.
