Custom door Panel

So I bought these new 6.5 Cerwin Vega Midrange speakers for my car but the magnet was too big to sit flush in the door. Had no choice but to cut the panel!
I personally like it. More pics coming soon!

Hmm kinda cool but I don't know. I mean I'm sure it's a nice upgrade but kind of takes away from the sleek look.

errrr You had a Choice: A Grinder and you could easily cut the Door Hole to make the Magnet Fits. Thats what I did to fit my JL C5s Anyway...

If they come with a Black Grill maybe it would not loot that bad.. But Bare? Not so Good.
Sound Wise is alot better to sit it in the Door Panel, The Speaker Cloth Cover muffles alot of Sound..

I was going to cut into the door but the window glass would almost be touching the magnet. Its not a finished product yet.

Touching the glass? just how deep those Vegas mount?? (Since you Didnt Specify exact Model dunno)...
It wasnt just cutting the Hole in the door a Custom Mount was a Given too...
In my Experience you can put a 2" to 2.5 Spacer before hitting the Door Panel (Thats almost 6-7 inch Space from Mount to Glass)

That's the last thing I would have done... You should have asked bro. All you had to do was trim the doors out a bit and build a spacer ring. Being that you are at the point of no return you might as well do some ultra custom fiber glass panels for your door.

Actually, now that the speakers are mounted to the door panels, are you going to reinforce the mounts that hold the door panel in place? I feel like any speaker needs to be mounted to solid metal/wood/fiberglass. Not flexible plastic. Hopefully you don't get too many vibrations and rattles.
