OEM is pretty cheap and one of the best looking kits out there. What color is your TL? Some colors that have been discontinued are very cheap, like $3-400. Some dealerships may be overstocked and willing to sell for cheap. I got my WDP OEM kit like 1 yr ago for $629 shipped. Try talking to Tim at www. honda acura world. com (w/out the spaces)

Also try doing a search. I know a few members here found really good prices for OEM kits.

And you do realize that this is the photo gallery so where are the pictures

dud there are two body kits for the TL...you either go OEM like 99% of the TLers, go Wings West (WW) like me and very few people...and theres also an imported kit from japan but the link's been out for 6months plus..so thats 2 left...

OEM you can get under 800painted + 300mounting
WW will cost around 995 (ebay) thru 1500 painted + 300mounting.

peace.

There are actually more then 2 kits. OEM and Wings West are the popular ones. There are probably like 4 or 5 kits. The one etxxz is talking about from Japan is called the JDM Inspire or Value Kit. It's actually a complete kit including a replacement bumper with foglights in it. Extremely hot but very pricey. Also very long wait to get.

For a 99-01 kit the OEM is way under $800. Like I said I got mine for $629 and that was like a year ago. Certain colors have been discontinued and are selling for less then that. You may be able to find some for under $400.

You can get the WW one for way less etxxz. You can get it for around $650 but you have to get it painted. That will run you like $300 or so. So total will cost you around $1000 at the most.

As far as mounting goes, a kit is something you can DIY. It's a very simple install and $300 is way too much to pay to have someone else do it. So instead of throwing 3 bills away put it to better use and get some other mod you would like i.e. Springs, Sways etc.

no dud, the 665 WW its from ebay but not only do you have to get it painted and thats about $300-500, BUT what sucks about this kit its that it has to get primed and the priming process is more expensive than the painting...and then theres the labor. Trust me, i got one.

installation may be simple for the OEM kit, but for the WW kit you gotta glue the front and rear peaces and the sides dont slide in like the OEM kit...you gotta sort of slide and drill 3 screws in the middle and 2 in the front!

If you get the OEM you may be capable of installing yourself but for the WW, unless your very good you should take it to a shop and have them worry about it.

BUT, the WW kit looks 100000x better than the OEM...its much more youthfull and agressive look plus its a lot slicker.

peace.

Theres Mugen body kit( discontinued i think ), Value sports Body kit, Blazing Stars Body kit, SKP body kit, Sarona kit, jdm oem inspire/saber bumper w/ oem body kit... Thats about it. Oh yeah theres the usdm wings west kit... i used to have it, its a hastle to maintain. I find polyurethane too flimsy making the paint and clear coat crack...

Oh damn, I didn't realize there was so much involved. I thought it already came primed.

Doesn't sound too bad, I would still do it myself, glueing and drilling some holes isn't that complicated, just make sure everything is line up and in the correct place and you save yourself $300.

That's subjective, I happen to think that the OEM kit looks the best on the TL. WW is definitely not slicker, it's choppier if anything.

Peace
