Okay so it's been a while since i started a thread so here goes:

Does anyone have any pics or know where i can see a pic or even heard of anyone having a blue Type-S emblem??? or has anyone painted the red part from the "S" blue or know anyone who has or where i can see a pic? if so, can someone PLEASE post a pic of that?


btw: i know nothin about paint mods so does anyone have any idea how one would go about doing this?

i know what your talking about, i seen a TL that had the background Blue, looked pretty cool, i also seen one all in chrome,

yeah man i searched everywhere and cant find it, i guess if i do it i'll be the first. actually i wanted just the opposite, i want the chrome to stay chrome and only the red part to be blue, ya know?

come to think of it, if the colors were a bit slimmer, it would look OK, but they are too fat in this ^^ picture.

uhhh nah i dont think that would be very durable, or weather-proof. but thanx for tha suggestion

finally someone who's kinda done it! different color but it's the same thing! okay so u didnt have to sand it down first or anything additional or complicated? just spray right on? you guys think the original red would affect the way the blu spray paint may come out on it?

 

oh yeah, what kind of clearcoat and from where?

this is a good chance to get the bodyshop to do your emblem
since they will be taking it off the car anyways,
ask them to paint it for you
pretty sure they wont say no, if they say no. then they are lazy, and wont go the extra distance to please their costomers.. and remember, they want to do a good job so you go back.

 

thanks for the input, i might call them and try that (they're not taking it off though, it was stolen)

anyone else got any ideas on how to paint it myself?
