Found it...it's alpswd's car. I guess someone can PM him if they want to know how he did it, but I think it's a great idea.

Try leavingthe wings on..... it looks great aswell. Nice cheap "under $10 mod"
The flipped licence plate thing is a must aswell for the front licence plate TL owners.. The whole mod can be done with 4 ty-wraps.. Just pull uit off, flip it and use tywraps to secure the frame to the bumper, screw the plate onto the frame and viola!!!! done!

i tried this on my silver 99 tl but it looked like crap! you could see the black plastic thing that usually holds the chrome strip and symbol. i guess this is because its different from the set-up on the new tl's? anyway im gunna go mess around with it some more and try to find a better way to set it up.

And yes, this has been done on an 02-03.... I had my grill with mesh on it for a while, but later removed it to paint the grill. Like Vtlec01 said..."it just looks ricey" after a while.

i have an '03' TL. i just took off the cover which exposes the back of my grille... but when i pull on my grille to get it out, it seems to be attached to my bumper? am i missing something?

okay, i did a little more investigation. i found the 2 clips on the bottom of the grille that i need to pop off. but the angle that they are at, i cant get them off. it seems like i have to take off my whole front bumper to get these clips off? please advise.

mesh grille looks great. what do you guys think of moding with the mesh grille but leaving out the Acura "A" emblem? so basically just the bare mesh grille? thanks.

Just stumbled upon this thread, i know it's in the 2G section but anybody know if this is possible on 07 TLS? I haven't had a chance to look at my grill yet, just thought id throw it on here first

ksjdhalskjdfh, im having the hardest freaking time bending the mesh around the hump where the emblem goes. how did you guys do it. did you just like saw that off or cut more than needed and bend around it.

that is soooo sick I just took apart my old grill (the one the fell off the car when i had my accident) and Im checking it out... definently think Im going to do it... just cant decide whether to keep the chrome frame or paint it body color hmmmm.... awesome mod!
