Talking After a coating in baby oil

Or rather a full detail found here: My first detail on my baby

I thought I'd share with you guys some of the best after shots of how my baby's looking these days. I wanted to mention that for those of you who think I need to debadge, well let me tell ya, I tried to take off the ACURA and realized that the goo had become pretty dried and a lot harder to get off so I left it as is for now.

Anyway, onto the good stuff:

Cheers guys, thanks!

You never realize how much you love your car till you spend 3 days with it in the garage...so so much work, but certainly worth it

Looks....brand...spanking....NEW!!

Isn't it a good feeling??? I did a detail a couple months ago. Almost time to seal her up for the winter again.

Hahaha to any of you that thought I actually used baby oil I was totally kidding, but she's pretty damn shiny hey! I LOVE how my car almost looks like it has a fresh paintjob. She is far from perfect and I know of all her scars, but she still looks better than 85% of the cars I see around. The worst is seeing cars that I know aren't even a year old that are already COVERED in terrible swirls from terribly poor wash techniques.

02type-s the process and products I used are linked in my first post right at the top as "My first detail on my baby"

03TL-S I didn't put any wax on, could've but didn't want to. I only sealed her with Optimum Opti-Seal which is an AMAZING paint sealant. Easy application and provides a solid shine, but nothing like a good carnuba will.

Next spring I may open up the headlights. Crazyasiantl what do you think?
1. Blacked out and cleared....2. Cleared only

Looks great man!

You stay taking pictures just in your driveway though haha. Drive somewhere else and get some pics from farther away and such. These shots just don't do your car justice.

I would drop it more but Edmonton roads are terrible and I need to keep it at an all year height because we get bad winters too. There's a good chance of my sleeves seizing after winters from crud and what not, so I don't want to adjust my coilovers if I don't have to. I have a 1 to 1/2 finger gap up front and a 1 finger or less gap in the back...

I do have other shots of my car at different spots actually. I didn't have time after this detail to get some. A buddy of mine who is studying professional photography in college wants to take me on a shoot this fall so expect to see some excellent shots in the near future.

Actually here's a quick link to some shots from earlier this summer of my car in a few different spots. Shows off the level of my drop a little better I suppose.
