Accord V6 Invidia Catback + Movie Sound Clip

Here are day pics of my car as promised. Sorry no time for a wash.

Spent the morning at a shop getting the catback system customed on. Everything bolted up but the system was short by about 4 inches or so, and the mufflers sat a little too wide for the exhaust molds on the OEM rear lip so I had to get the mufflers reset too.

The system is loud. Maybe even louder than my Tanabe SMH setup. I'm gonna see if I can order the silencers from Invidia, since the guy who I bought these off of didn't have them. If I can't find them... Maybe I'll sell them here on the black market.

Also, here are day time pics of the spoilers. The paint match is incredible. Better than my OEM kit, which supposedly is WDP from the dealer.

Anyhow, here were the costs:

Spoilers $140 painted and mounted for both. (Only had to pay for paint, primer, other materials used)

Invidia Catback Exhaust System: $250 shipped, thanks to a certain member on .

Install: $120 (includes labor, gaskets, piping, etc)

I have a movie clip you guys can view here:
Invidia Catback

Enjoy the pics:

Shit... I wasted the entire morning. Now I need to stay up all night to study for Criminal Procedure and Legal Ethics.

Sigh.

They've got a great exhaust note to them! Congrats, they look much nicer compared to the quad exhaust tips you had before.

Yeah. Invidia has a nice deep growl, a bit loud though. (Especially from 1000-3000 RPMs.) Invidia used to be part of RSR, but broke off for some reason. High quailty Japense product.

Hmm. I don't know. Exhaust on a TL-S is more aesthetics and sound. I think max for an exhaust system is like 2-3 HP. I don't even know if that's to the wheels or not though.

I haven't tried gunning it yet, but I doubt it'll be like installing a CAI or headers.

Spoilers look good, dont really like the look of canister exhausts, but it sounds great. I really like how you can see the invidia label where the exhaust splits.

Damn nice work man! I wish my car sounded like that everytime i start up my car!

I still think black goes better with WDP rather than chrome (the door pillars)

Sounds good bro, make some driveby videos. Any TL with a good aftermarket exhaust sounds so sick when just cruising.

I actually bought 2 sets of ebay ones.. one was cheap plastic material painted chrome, the other some stainless steel ones that were like 0.5-1 inches short on all pieces... however the stainless steel set gave me an idea. I called up my friend who has a shop and asked if he'd be willing to get a sheet of stainless steel and custom fabricate some door pillars. He agreed and I got it for free.

Thanks, and I kind of like the look of the exhast can. I've always liked slightly bigger outlets on exhast: look at stock G35's those are easily 3.5 inch.

Also as for being distasteful on this car, I feel like it's hardly noticable most of the time thanks to the drop and OEM kit. With a WW kit, I feel like it would hide the exhaust a little more, so I think I'll get one in a couple months.

Also... eh. I'm beginning to understand more and more that Acura isn't really that luxurious of a car. I think my next car after I finish Law School will be a Lexus or BMW. I would stay in the Acura family.. but 38k for a FWD TL Type S is kind of ridiculous... I could get a sporty Lexus IS350 or a BMW 335i for about that price.

But yeah, I've always been a tuner. First car was a 96 prelude which I boosted and modified the hell out of... second was this car, and then I had an STI as a project/weekend car. I pretty much kept the TL-S stock until I sold my STI about a year ago, and now its my only car so I take out my "modding needs" on the TL-S.

So I guess I've always kind of been a big fan of Japanese manufactured products for JP cars. I had a Tanabe, which were great, but a little loud. I would've gotten an Apexi, but I really wanted a full stainless steel setup. I had invidia on my STi and I knew they were reliable and sounded great, so when this system came up for sale for a ridiculous price on , I jumped on it. I admit the looks are a bit aggressive for a TL, but hey, I've never been one to conform to the standards everyone likes when it comes to modding. I think it's aggressive, but still tasteful. (Don't mention the dual outlet exhaust I had on before.. that was out of necessity )

And if a G35 can sport a 3.5 inch outlet, why can't my TL-S? Lol, I guess it's cause a G35 could qualify as a luxury sports car, while the TL-S is more of.. not quite luxury, not quite sports car, but somewhere inbetween luxury and sports car. Either way, I think it still looks clean, and at the very least, I make sure I do all my shit right. Paint job on spoilers and the exhaust fitment were done by the best people here in so cal and paid a pretty penny for both.

I guess when I get the Versus/Pure Styling Front Lip put on you're not gonna like that either, but hey, you can be sure that I'll get it done right.

BTW, I never said Thanks to ya Leo... you passed on the great deal on a New Icebox, and I was second in line and bought it! Thanks bro.

I just need to find some time to put it on.

Update: got some silencers in the Mail Today. gonna try putting them on tomorrow and see if they help with the noise. I'll put up movie clips with/without silencer.

Here's another pic of my TL-S' ass. God, I love her Ass with them spoilers...

car looks good bro, who cares what all these jokers say anyway, most of them that talk the $hit dont have anything done to their own TL's to begin with, keep up the good work.
