Thanks... right now im deciding doing this mod or getting plenums instead. Someone is selling plenums used at a great price. You did not replace any gaskets? The top plate is not necessary right? (will probly just look ugly) lol. How was the IMRC hook up? easy?

Ok guy i read this whole thread but nothing is mentioned as to why swapping to the 09 IM makes gains in earlier J-series motors and WHY. Would this also work for the 3rd Gen TL's like my 08 base? What changes were made in the 09 manifold???

the actual thread is on the CL side that explains everything. this is not a diy thread. this is a picture thread i made to show everyone it fits and can be done. i put the manifold on because i heard it made more gains than the p2r plenums.

and im not sure if it will work for 3rd gens youll have to search on that side

I recall seeing some threads about it on the 3rd gen side... You def won't find info for the here...

It makes more power because it has a bigger inlet, larger runner ports, minimal to no casting marks, and it's made out of magnesium alloy so it stays a hell of a lot cooler and is a good amount lighter... All in all it flows much better than the J32A2 plenum. More air = more power (as long as you have the exhaust mods to support the increased air flow...)

It is possible to do this on a TL-P. Just remember to port the runners while you are in there.

I'd think you'd see a bigger gain than compared to the Type-S due to the more drastic changes in flow. Keep us posted. I used to work for United Airlines in KJAX in the early 00's while in college a ERAU. I drove from Orlando daily..lol.

Im hoping to gain alot from it I just got to figure out to wire up the IMRC. Probably the msd window switch like people used with the type s intake manifold. That's a bit of driving going from Orlando everyday

You couldn't pay me to live in Jacksonville. Orange Park nor Jax Beach was nice to me. It reminds me of being in Georgia vs. Florida. I'll do central or south Florida anyday...
