Mr.Mako, Let me know if you could get the HOA shiftknob, fob, keys, and manuals. I'll Pay, Pay, Pay!!! Those are the last things I need for my conversion.

Yeah, the airbag cover on the steering wheel, the HOA badges on the rear C pillar, and the badging in back (Saber instead of Acura and 25V or 32V depending on the model, US only is the 3.2 L motor), and lastly, the front grill. It's a Honda, and I don't think that's widely available.

I forgot to mention the side markers (yellow lens cover, not clear) and the frony air dam (with Honda factory fog lights).

I really wish this was stuff I could just go buy, and run a little ebay business on the side, but it's cost prohibitive (getting things through customs would suck, and you have no idea how much that would cost)

Yes, but I think 03' was the last year. The Saber model was not around for that long. Starting out with the Vigor, then moving into the UA2 / UA3 body style (98' and earlier). In 98', they also started the UA4/UA5 (2nd gen TL/Saber/Inspire). UA4 being the 2.5 and UA5 the 3.2.

I find it quite funny that my car was US built, but with a JDM motor.

I have a silly question. Can we program that home icon on the USDM Navigation systems?

I don't think so

On this model, the "Home" button is a menu item. Basically, it's under the "Mark" softkey (which on my model is a touchscreen feature that appears on the bottom left). I've never played with the US model so I can't help much there.

BTW, mine will also show an icon for the A&W fast food place, along with McDonalds, and KFC. If anyone wants, I can try and get a picture so you can see it.

But the bottom line is that these are all features within software. I don't know if it can be ported or programed.

Well I dug into the menu for about a half hour and came up empty. I'm pretty sure its not available on the USDM. I have the latest DVD and I think the food places just show up as generic icons. However, some of the gas stations will show if it's a Shell or Chevron, etc.

Yep. It's stock. I like it better than wood or other (plastic) ones.

Talking Stereo speaker upgrade

I was wrestling with the idea of getting a new car (an 05' Honda Accord Euro-R), but changed my mind. So the first mod I have done was get rid of the front speakers and put in some Polk db 5250 component speakers. Here's some pics:

Drivers side door panel removed, and the crossover mounted above the styrofoam block. I held it in with one self tapping screw through the plastic. It does not protrude and holds it in.

Here's the finished product. I chose to mount the tweeter on the mirror cover in the corner. I did this for 2 reasons: 1) I was lazy. 2) I did not have a hole saw. So here are more shots of the speakers.

More mods to come. The head unit will go eventually, but right now it will have to wait. Opinions and comments are welcome.

Mirror

It's a clip on mirror from an auto store here called Autobacs (think Pep Boys but with a lot of boy racer stuff). They have them in all aspect angles (wide, super wide, etc...). They run from $10 - 20 here. It helps me see when my kids are acting up.

It's a road flare. It has an attachment point underneath the passenger kick panel.

Here's a shot of the crossover mounting point.

And one of me in the early morning sun next to my "mostly stock" 99' HMM Honda.
