The woodtrim color looks a lil different to. Do they actually use real wood in your saber.

No, it's fake. But here it is really hot so I think the fake stuff will last longer. Even the steering weel is fake wood. It does look nice and not too overdone (like most American cars)...

The problem with Honda is that they do not break down here (badly, anyway). So finding this model in a junkyard would be difficult (to get the grill is a tougher go), and be about Y 20,000 ($ 200) or more.

If I could find one I'd get it for you

Here's the new Legend grill. Not a TL, but I couldn't resist.

Good point You have to see the .co.jp on the end to know that you are dealing with a japanese web site.

Yahoo Japan www.yahoo.co.jp has auctions, and is a great way to buy parts BUT you have to understand some Japanese to do this correctly. You could get the parts needed to convert your TL to a Saber / Inspire

I knew they were close. I think the new TL is exclusive. Honda doesn't have it here. Just the fancy Inspire (a luxury accord) and the Euro R (TSX).....

Here's the car that would be trick in the US......

You have to see this thing in person to belei ve it. It's a wagon that looks too cool.

It's very low to the ground, and with the Modulo accessories, in the absolute model, it is baaadddddd.....

There are many JDM HONDA Odysseys and JDM TOYOTA Alphard in HONG KONG...
I love those luxury MPV so bad....

Good catch. The side skirt (towards the front) has a "modulo" raised plastic sticker. It is the accessory arm of Honda that does all of the sporty add ons.

I promise more if there is demand. It is a 25V, so I have the J25A motor (GF-UA4 model). Let me know if this is something you want to see........

Exterior of you Saber is as mine including colour and wheel. But I have chassis GF-UA5, 32V,
leather seat, TV, Navigation, (full options). This car is excellent.

nice Saber. great to see the japan counterpart. i just was browsing through all the pics did you guys notice when he shot the interior the ebrake pedal is in the center of the car not to the side. our ebrake pedal is on the far side next to the hood pop. i just thought that was interesting. sweet saber though. would be nice to have a RHD too heehee. very unique. !!

Yeah, the E-brake is in the center, and there is a switch internal to shut off the TV while driving (actually, if the motor is on and the shifter is in anything but P, the TV screen won't turn on. In P, it comes on with the E-brake engaged).

Do US models with the Navigation option come with a TV built in?

I guess if it was on the far right, it could get confused with the accelerator....Notice that is not reversed.

Last post for now..really...

Here's the website for second generation Honda Saber accessories:

http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCESS/automo...ber/index.html

Here you will find alot of stuff, in Japanese, and very expensive (divide all prices by 115 and you'll get the idea). Y40,000 = $348.00, and only available at Japanese dealers. I can't go to Autobacs (Japan's Pep Boys) and get these.

Here is the problem: The shipping will be VERY expensive from here (a 10 pound box from here to Colorado) via the CHEAPEST method of FedEx is $400. So figure that one out. And then the US will hit you with customs duties......

You would be better off showing the web site to someone and having them fabricate it there. Less money.......

good point. i was thinking about that when i was driving a few hours ago. i was like ohh wait the gas is still on that same side so yeah it might pose a danger if in case you gas you hit the ebrake. haha. that will not be pretty especially when you need to gas.

the ebrake is the safety thing. i use to work for a car audio shop back in hawaii and to be legal when we use to put in monitors in the front you would have to ground this wire to the ebrake. but no one wants to do it that way so we just make it work for the customer.

but still bro thanks for sharing the saber. you dont know what i would give to have the cloth seats in my TL. black cloth interior would be awsome. i hate leather in vegas. its so hot. !!! i roast my butt everytime i get in it. take care of the saber. will be a honda classic.

Oh man, I'm late. That's a beautiful car. I wish I had the cloth seats and navi tv tuner. What kind of steering wheel is that? Looks identical to the Accords here in America. How much would it be if you could get those Saber floormats, HOA key, and rear Sun screen accessories to the U.S.?

What you can't read is the Honda number on it. It is actually a Stanley 9569 (R and L respectively). This could be a US Honda Accord part. I don't know if there is a bumper in the US that would accommodate these. And they are H7 or H3 bulbs, I forgot.

Mud flaps

Here they are after a long delay. Note the mounting points on the second picture.

Now I really do not want to replace these if I get some bigger wheels for the car. If I do, I may make them available on ebay. Don't scour ebay just yet....I'm still thinking about it.....

The Saber line ran out in 03'. And the sporty "version" of this car body was the Saber model. The Inspire carried on and is the current US model Accord here in Japan.

So to answer the question, yes, your car would be a Saber. Is the turn signal indicator lens cover on your taillight clear or orange? A funny question, but over here, the Inspire was clear, the Saber Orange....

For us, the 99-01 TL's have orange lenses and the 02-03 have clear.
I really want that front bumper and fog lights.
