03tLsNBP - The Final Photoshoot
Pictures were taken in December. That was the last time I had all the mods on the car. I have been parting out slowly ever since.
Near the end of December, I took off the mustang wheels and put the stockies back on, but with a twist.
This is how she sits tonight. I gave her a spot in the garage for the night.
New owners pick her up tomorrow morning. Goodbye TL. As much as I complained about you, you did get me around for 40K miles. There were a lot of things I should have done differently but lesson learned. I must move on.
A few of you have asked me what I'm replacing her with. Well, here's a clue...

Close. 2013 Lancer Evo X GSR in Cosmic Blue. Have the deposit put down on it. Just gotta go and sign the papers. I'll give more details soon but I can say right now that it's a lease.

The hood is custom made by me. Real CF laid over OEM hood. I had plans to do the front fenders and roof too. But it was so labor intensive that I just couldn't do it anymore after I graduated college and got a real job.

I don't have any hard proof that it was functional but theoretically it should have been. It was supposed to extract hot air from the engine bay. Not necessarily direct air into it. The vents are close enough to the leading edge of the hood to actually work....in theory.

Hey 03tlsNBP, life's been good to ya.....thanks for sharing the farewell pics of all your hard labor of love, sweat and tears with your TL. Ya really did it well to say the least and it truly showed.
But, there comes a time in one's life to move on to the next level and you have chosen well with the leased EVO. You'll have some time to play and then later on, down life's winding road.......evaluate where ya wanna be.
Don't wanna scare ya, but it may be in a whole different direction if ya get hitched up and have a family ! Anyways, have fun ...enjoy the moment and never look back.

I hope to plan ahead financially so that I'm never in a position where I have to give up having a nice, fast sports car for a family. I would like to have my cake and eat it too

Holy Shit that Hood!!! Oh my God it makes your TL look so aggressive!! That thing is beautiful! What made you decide to just cut vents into your hood?! I never would have imagined that!
