02 tl-s

I took a couple pics today, it was raining, but I haven't posted pics of how the car currently sits

I had a roll of yellow tint that I bought a while back and never used, how does it look?

And I painted the stock wheels the other day, I haven't got around to putting them on yet, but I will probably tomorrow; then I will take more pictures. They are a little curbed up, but I think they look better painted

not bad. I think if you dropped it a couple inches or so in the front and a little bit less in the back, it would set it off. The yellow.... ehh its okay. Not bad, but not great.

Thanks!

I knew I would be told to lower the car, but I am not going to. It is my dd and I have had too many lowered cars that I daily drove and I don't like it at all! I have tein s-tech's with tokico Illumina's on it, and it rides decent, but if I drive that for a few days, then get the TL it sits and rides like I would like a dd to, I don't want to change that!

I got them cheap, but I am thinking about swapping the wheels between the TL and my Mr2; that has 17" Konig Imagine

Can anyone photoshop and swap the wheels on the cars?

aftermarket 17's dont look good on the TL... stock type S's look good for OEMs... but you gotta go with 18+ for aftermarket...

Yes, I'm not sure if the offset is correct though, the 17's on my TL are slighty too wide for stock(I bought them from someone on here because he lowered his TL after he bought the wheels and they rubbed) and the Mr2 does not have a lot of room in the wheel well! I would like more tire on my Mr2 becuase the power it makes, and the aftermarket 17's on the TL are 8" wide, so I would be able to squeeze 255's on it if the offset it right!

Fog light mod?

What other mods do you think? I want to paint the headlight housings black, and get a lip kit, that's the only thing I want to do; other than 6spd, if I do that I would do some major performance upgrade because I have access to HIGH quality Honda work for next to nothing

If you don't like the rough ride, try Tein H Techs. It will get rid of your truck stance with a minimal drop, while retaining the ride quality.

Thanks! I know I got a PM about the meet, but I forgot to check the days. Are there meets every year, or was that a rare occasion?

^^ I had a civic a few years ago that I lowered 4" with some crappy coilovers that a friend found, I don't know what kind of car they were for, but the car could have went down another 1.5" and it probably would have only been a little worse if i put those on!

Looks great man but I wouldn't judge the quality of all coilovers based on a bad experience or two. I have Tein Basics on mine lowered a reasonable amount and I can't even tell if the ride is worse than stock. It's pretty much identical, if not better because the struts are newer. I also daily drive my car and it still feels fantastic. Even my Dad said that it felt quite nice to him considering it was lowered. Trust me, a drop is the BEST mod looks wise for our cars and if you can afford to get the setup I have and be happy with it.

Nonetheless, enjoy your TL as much as we do ours. Have fun with the little mods and what not.
