looks nice, but I think it needs a lip kit, and a drop, and some day shots and your good to go
PS: Or maybe a Turbo setup with a nice big black intercooler in the front

lipkit, rims, black out your housing, black out your fogs or put some rock blocker yellow film on it, slam it some more and call it a day
flat black looks sick. always wondered how it would really look on a 2nd gen tl..first time seeing it.. can't wait to see it with a kit and some more mods. keep it up and keep us updated!

its a 550 paint job - sanding, handsanding, primer, two coats of flat black paint. 10-15 day wait - another two coats
this is just the first 2 coats
getting 2 more next week
they said the time in between is so that small details and mistake will show up by then, for them to fix
drips, lines, darker and lighter spots
after paint sits in, it all comes together
ill take a few day shots tomorrow
oh yea, one negative side of flat black.
fingerprints, and...no clear coat <-- that would give it gloss.

paint job looks good from the pics posted
however, IMO for a flat black car to really work, its gotta be a SICK car. perfect stance, baller wheels, enough accents elsewhere (in this case red tails and clear headlights w/ non-black rims).... etc...
again thas IMO.

Not a bad start!
Get blacked out headlights + darker tints, then get rid of all that red in the engine bay, and then it'll be SICK!
Oh, and a set of rims would be great.

you need ballin-ass wheels, a kit, and more drop to pull this off totally - you've started in the right direction, though. looks sick and has alot of potential - it's up to you to FINISH THE JOB CORRECTLY!
def wanna see some day shots too.

you need wheels.....
depending on what you feel...
ie. black on blue/red/gold/etc etc..
if i were you, i'd undo the red part on your tails.. maybe do like.. 80% tint or something.. and then black out your headlights.... not tint film them... and then.. when you get wheels. flat black the face and maybe do a red lip and red rivets?? etc etc.. red lugs.. little things here and there.. need more contrast...

lol som1 finally did it...balling...
i think i would feel it more when the project is complete...theres still too much white/chrome here n there...headlites n fogs...n the chrome on the xhaust shows too much so with a lip kit it fix that or just paint the muffler black n leave the tips chrome...
saw a rx7 yesterday at a shop with satin black...which is also flat black...it had 7 coats n a semi clear...looked sick...i touched it n it feels like touching a lcd screen...for those that r wondering
