Exclamation 00 To 03 Front end conversion

I have a 2000 Tl and I was interested in converting the front end to a 2003. Does it bolt right on or do you have to install new supports and stuff. I have seen pictures on here with a conversion done but I cant find them anymore. Please help!!! Thanks

I'm not saying I wanna be in an accident, but, if it happened I'd do the conversion also.

Just because you would be doing the work yourself still doesnt make it a bolt on, but then again i have no doubt that you'd pull it off kris

i personally like the 00 look much better. i used to dig the 03 front ends, but after clearing my headlights i think the 00 front end is much hotter....looks WAY sleeker and OG....those new headlights are kinda bulky and i dont like that big circle

The 02-03 front end is more upscale and aggressive than the 99-01, which looks nearly identical to the Gen6 Accord. The 02-03 front is a little distanced from that look and has a look more befitting to a luxury performance sedan.

"Not a bolt on"

Ok, so if its not a bolt on then what the hell has to be changed? Does it involve welding or anything like that? I got $1800 from insurance due to front end damage, I bought the headlights for $300 and the bumper for $100, all I need is the fenders and hood and the shop said they would take care of that. What do you guys think it will cost me extra?? I hope not too much

not sure what doesnt make it a bolt on? unless it has something to do with a different front bumper rail. Other than that the unibody should be the same (find it extremly hard to believe they would retool that for a different headlight and bumper look

Thats what I was thinking, It should be a simple hood bar that could hold the new headlight shape and everything else should be the same. When I changed my civics front end to a 2000 from a 96 I didnt have to change anything. Honda and Acura cars are like toys, you can modify them easily. I just hope I dont get screwed!!!

you will need to either cut, move and weld the hood latch or get a new one, the radiator support has to be cut and dropped about 2 inches i thnk, the headlights wont fit in either, something about the baffle, needs to be banged out or whatever, i forgot its been almost a year, it is going to take the body shop a lot of trial and error to succesfully fit everything and make sure everything lines up pretty good, if a good body shop does it expect to pay $1000+ just for labor(just for the conversion part)

DAMN Thats alot of dough man. But i guess its worth it. My car needs a facelift. Its going to come out a new man. lip kit, front end, new paint. I hope they can work with me a little cause thats alot of money. I didnt think so much cutting and stuff would be involved.

If you want something different buy El Pana 32's setup in the black market section he did some custom work on his TL, if I had that year TL I would definately look into that.

I hear you guys... I considered the conversion, but when I added up all the parts and labor, just to make it look like a 02-03.... I was better off going with the hybrid approach and have a unique look for the fraction of the price.

If any of you are interested in the bumper, let me know... we can work out a deal.
