xsp headers

i know theyve been talked about a lot, but has anyone had a problem with the primary pipes connecting to the main flange... there was a rumor that they could be different metals and could cause problems

only have 2000 miles on mine, but they're working like a charm. No cracking, leaking, resonance (since i fixed the metal hanger "walrus" sound). Power is great too!!

I tried to find how to fix this in the longer XSP thread, but how exactly do you fix that metal hanger?

by replacing it. Look to see if the rubber in the hanger is torn.

also loosen all the bolts and let the header relax a bit. it may be just not aligned right? start at teh manifold and woork down. nothing should be forced together.

I think my hanger is still intact. Could it be possible that its too tight or something? I Know there is alot of tension in the hanger. We jacked up the hanger to get the bolts in place and aligned.

I was the first TL on the forum to install these a few months ago. 5000 miles later and I've had no issues. This was the best investment that I have made out of all of my mods. Hopefully they will stand up to the New England winter. I'll get back to you on that next spring!

if you had to jack it up something isnt aligned right.i would loosen all the bolts, reposition and retighten them.

Sound is about stock, although I do get a bit of a buzzing with the headers now. Guessing its coming from the flex pipe. Otherwise, sound through my stock exhaust is pretty much the same I think.

Yeah I'll do that. I just noticed it made my exhaust more crooked, so something is def. mis-aligned
