This is hard to understand after all the great reviews on this product.
It is normal - I noticed it too and thought that something was installed improperly but to be honest with you, you ignore it after a short time. There is some resonance too, but once again , you tend to ignore it. If you do a lot of highway driving like me, you will not even notice it since it is most noticable during slow accelerations (like in- town driving)

And it does make a BIG performance difference. Just add a Comptech Ice box too....

for my accord v6 are the cheaper generic brand headers worth the 80$ plus 40$ shipping?

SICKTypeS, I finally got it to work right to the best of my ability. The quality is definitely only worth $150, but the power gains are worth $150 so I guess it pans out. I dont like the hissing no matter what, even after I get used to it I think it makes the TL sounds real cheap as well as the resonence at 1750.

I'm guessin how long they'll last on my TL....a year? maybe two? I doubt that it'll last as long as other headers. We'll see.

i got mine in but im not sure what resonance sounds like....i have a hissing sound on full throttle, but someone said thats the gases goin thru the thinner metal. i also have a loud rattling sound might be something that didnt get bolted down, like the heat shield to the cat

That is exactly what mine do. I installed some heat wrap (the stuff you use to fix holes in your muffler) and it got rid of 80% of the resonance.

I tightened all the bolts again the other day and the hiss is still there. I don't think it is caused by a leak which seems to coincide with what other people say.
