i just used a regular wrench to get the O2 sensor out. and the manifold with the little notch on it goes in the back. here's a tip...bolt to back manifold to the downpipe first, then the front second. for some reason when i did the front first, i couldn't get the back manifold to allign correctly. well, atleast that's what i ran into.

Use an adjustable wrench for the O2 sensor and like he said, notch goes in the rear.

Did you get new bolts for the kit?

Make sure you tighten everything little by little so everything is lined up good.

Where do you guys get the bolt kits for the new headers? Could you just get them at pretty much any auto shop?

I just had my Headers, Magnaflow Cat-Back and AEM CAI V2 put on, on friday. I AM LOVING IT!!!!!!!

I just need to get it tuned now. I cleared the ECU, but want to invest in the Jet ECU Tune.

Has anyone tried it?

I know they don't need it, but from what I have read we should be able to pick up about 5 to 15hp and up to 3 or 5mpg.

I HOPE!!!!

I don't recall anyone wrapping the headers, but a few of us have wrapped the flex pipe to get rid of resonance.

From what i've heard most after-market companies do not recommend wrapping the headers because they'll get heat soaked and the welds will lose strength and come undone... or something like that. Wrapping the flex pipe is alright though.

That makes sense and the welds on the XS headers are shitty enough as they are.

I will be wraping the Flex Joints soon. Leaving the headers alone.

Does this really work? I wanna pick these up but I wouldn't be able to deal with the resonance.

I've heard that it has worked for some members, but didn't work for me. I even went as far as getting a new flex pipe welded into place to get rid of it but to no avail.

I think it has mostly to do with the install. It was my first time doing headers and I did it by myself and I think the O-ring gaskets for the manifold to J-pipe didn't set right so there isn't a good seal. You might as well go ahead and try them out for $100.

No the headers won't make your exhaust that much louder, just a nice scream at higher RPMs.
