hey guys have a 02 tls non nav
wanted to mod the ac control to put in the nav ac control but i was wondering would everything work correctly.
i know the nav control has the modes for the ac that can be controled from the touch screen, but will it work without it. will i loose any functionality

It will still work, you don't technically need the screen since u could just set it AUTO and just let the auto climate control, control the temp in the car and the speed of the fan. The only thing the screen lets u do is manually control the fan speed, manually control when the AC is on/off and manually control where u want the air blowing. If u don't care about that stuff the ac/heat will still operate fine if u just set it on auto and pick a temperature.

 

^ the only thing with that is, when you hit auto, it always turns the a/c on.. which is a bad thing

 

for people who don't want to use the Auto feature likes to use the screen to control air so it can come out on both top and bottom and have it on 5 with 75 degrees. or have only it come out on the bottom and have 65 degrees with a speed of 2.
