fsttyms1,

I think we are/were on different wavelengths.

I was arguing about frame stiffness as how it contributes to handling, and I now see that you was arguing about frame stiffness as how it contributes to crash worthiness.

In regards to crash worthiness, I concede.

As I said in my previous post above...

buy runflat tires, mount them on lightened rims and drill holes in the tires to release the heavy air rotating mass within. I am simply kidding

I was soo bored I removed my back seat, since the weather change , I hit vtec and it feels like my front end rises 2 and a half inches, and I rather lighten the anchor of rear weight

I took the tires off my car to shed some lbs and took the calipers and rotors off. Saved me over 100lbs total. My car goes like a bat into hell now.

Wow! I was just browsing around in the TL threads and I cant believe this thread I started is back almost 2 years later. I got an 03 cl-s 6-speed now so im always in the cl threads. Another shocker I noticed is that the TL DIET guy is definitely not Fu**ing around because I remember I took my front and back bumpers off when I took my 99 tl-p to the track and I weighed each one on a digital scale and they were EXACTLY the same weight HE claimed them to be on his list. You DEFINITELY have a sickness on this TL diet, but I do have to admit, it is interesting that someone is doing this because the difference from an Arial Atom and an Acura TL is the weight. Im curious what your car runs in the quarter.

HOLY SH*T! Mr. TL Diet Man I just looked at your 20 pages of progress on gutting out your car..............WTF? Here's my question, what are you planning on doing when you sell the car? " Um, here you go sir, the keys to my car and the keys to my storage unit with the rest of your car in a million pieces." YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE TRACK MAN! When you do please let me be the first one to know what you ran. I think it is awesome that you actually shed all that weight off your car. You relize you are THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS WORLD that has gone THAT FAR on gutting out a TL. I guess someone's got to do it. Keep up the good work!
