Weapon-r ram air kit

I think I just got a really good idea. lol. Those of us who have removed our intake resonator know that the intake now has two holes on the bottom from which it sucks in air. Weapon-r has a ram air kit (http://www.weapon-r.com/english/inde...=529)available and says it fits any air intake system. So i was thinking about buying two ram air kits and hook these up to the holes in our intake system and suck in crazy amounts of cold air. Now the big question is will it fit???

I could even give my car a custom look. i could cut a hole in the bumper the exact same size as ram air kit i think it would be really distinctive and also i believe this setup would be more effective than a conventional aem, injen, or kn cold air intake.

I don't know if the thread still exists...due to this site's problems, but there was one on a DIY CAI.
You remove the intake silencer...cut a straight section off and attach it to the intake box...plus I dropped in a K&N filter. This works really well.

Here is it attached...

...and here I secured it with duct-tape and metal strap.

im assuming thats your car, so did you dyno test it? Can you feel a big difference? And also where did you make the scoop comeout of suck in the air? The fron grill? Does this modification yeild more horsepower the faster you go because the air is being rammed faster? I was thinking of doing it with two ram air hoses one for each chamber in the intake and making them come out on the bumper on top of the foglights. Could you please gie me all the info or advice you have on this? Thank you

That's it....fully installed. All this is...is a silencer removal + cold air. By adding about a foot of extra tube, you reach cold air behind the bumper. To take this to the next level, would be somehow devising a "Ram Air". Adding a ram air, will help a little more...but just a little. Especially, since it only works at higher speeds.
No dyno...the result is very minimal. Slight noticeable difference at high RPMs...a little extra intake noise as well.
This cost nothing, except for K&N, and I think...just as good as spending money on a real CAI.
My advice....don't go nuts with this. It's not a big power maker.

but with 2 chambers you dont think it will be pretty effective especially at high speeds? I was thinking about doing something like this to it, notice the bumper:
