Warranty
Warranty
whats up guys, just got a few questions to ask.
my car is still under warranty. my warranty doesn't expire 2009, and i also have free maintenence for three years, 35000 miles. i just bought the car new in january, so i got all of those deals with it. i want to do some work to my car, but i just don't want to void the warranty. i'm pretty sure anything i do will void the warranty, (intake, custom exhaust...)
what do you guys think?

search for magnuson moss, or magnusson vs. moss. I'm warning you, they may be legal documents. for a heads up on what it says is, in my own nasty words, 'if we can prove it's your fault, you're paying for it!'. but on the other hand. They do have to prove that mods to your car contributed to the 'failure' whatever it may be. back to the other hand... lawers for manufacturers suck big time, they'll try to get you on anythin they can. If your under warranty, my advice would be to play it safe, but im not sure what that means to the manufacturer, possibly nothing. Take a general opinion.

An intake or exhaust will not cause trans failure- no prob
Dropped spring may wear out other steering/suspension parts and they will fight you on those
Dont go in with 20s and say your car has always had a shaking steering wheel!
And learn to change the oil yourself and keep the dealer techs hands off your car.
More likely to cause probs when they rotate tires and incorrect toque put on wheel lugs than benefit of them changing oil for "free"
