That cost as much as my standalone ecu............................I was thinking the unichip was around the price of the basic emanage setup with the support tool but I guess not.

Someone check my math, but I think I got seattle's math to be that he saves $1.12 a tank. Haha, now i'm no math major (physics actually), but something tells me he hasnt recupped his losses 18 times over!

But what traffic we do have, they are some of the worst drivers on the planet! And my car usually never gets turned off. Its much harder on the car to turn it off and start it up as much i would need to, so thats like sitting in heavy rush hour traffic all day!

I'd say your definatley not a math major. If i get an extra 60miles per tank, the way i figure. 20 mpg x 3 = 60......$3.00 x 3 = $9.00
Not sure where your coming up with $1.12. If your a physics major, you might want to get a clue, when it comes to math. You'll need math in order to equate physics.

Well, the car is supposed to get approximately 19mpg city/ 29mpg highway. 15 gallons on the highway should get you around 435 miles. 15 gallons in the city should get you 285 miles. That's a big difference. I'm not surprised you got 450 on the highway. I think if someone gets much over 300 on a tank on average, you're not really doing much "city" driving.

I dont have the slips handy, but IIRC I was running 14.8s with the Unichip (on a very hot - 90 degrees kind of day, and very humid) ... On OEM tires. I was running 15.0s without the Unichip. So thats proof enough for me that it works. Not to mention leaning out the A/F ratio gives me better gas mileage!

My performance mods are: Comptech Header, Comptech Icebox, Comptech Axleback Exhaust, Unichip piggyback ECU

Also have some mods which prolly don't make any difference what-so-ever - Comptech Swaybars, Tein SS w/EDFC (IIRC EDFC was set to 0 in the rear, 8 in the front, its been awhile) ..

But it did in fact make a difference on my Type S.
Amazing you only got 14.8 with your mods. I have a 02TLS with H/I only, weighed in at 3600 and was getting 14.7. In the 80's with decent humidity. NO Unichip
