I'd use it to copy it and remake it. I've had a few people call me about making a TL kit. I know that design fits, all that is lacking is a decent turbo (I wouldn't put that cheap turbo on a TL), proper charge piping, proper oil plumbing, and fuel management. If I get an actual "truly interested" customer that wants one, I'll duplicate it as an entire kit.

I believe the link you have is to the XS engineering Accord/CL/TL turbo set up. THere was some one on here that had this idea taken from them and marketed. He just recently sold his kit.

...how much would this cost the buyer if you duplicate it?

To duplicate that setup using sched. 10 stainless would be in the $2k-$2500 range. To make a charge piping setup for that would be around $400 with the hardware. So basically you could turbo the TL using that SSAC setup and make it a bolt on afair for under $1100, youwould still need an oil kit which would be another $100 and fuel management.

Copy it? No disrespect but the design isn't all that great. It's similar to the one that the member All motor did however one of the mine issues is the downpipe. The angle and position it is in provides very little ground clearance. As always, I think the custom kit is the best way to go. Could be more expensive, but its made for your car.

If someone were to produce a quality turbo kit for the TL for under $3k I would definitely invest in one....beats $4600 for the S/C

The only thing on that kit that may work well is the intercooler. The ssac (xspower) are fmic's are pretty good. I dont think the one in the picture is from them though. I'll have one soon for my other car.

It's their's however a copy of a griffin fmic that Ryan(speedr73) had originally picked up.

I can happily wait until a better, Not a cheap shit, but In Budget Kit which wont let us sacrifice anything. The guy who made a kit and to Lift his car up because of the downpipe. Now thats Messedup. I would happily spend on a turbo kit which dont let me sacrifise LOOKS! even though it a little extra.
If nothing like that is comming in 2 yrs, i would rather go for a supercharger or by 2 yrs if i make extra money, i would simply Hit a v8

Look for my thread and speedr73's turbo threads first if you know nothing about turbos. I see you are 18, hope you have everything in place funding wise if the transmission or motor goes bad. Good luck.

i got one for my 2001 v6 accord. change out the turbo to a garrett. I upgraded the injectors tp 456cc and the fuel pump to a walbro. got the ECU tne and chipped out by a guy name jimmy in houston. I redid my own exhaust. I was on 9lb pushing 319whp and 287tq I only spent a total of 1400 bucks. THis thing works good. Full boost at 3100 RPM. The only bad is that if u don't know what you are doing BECAREFUl. its a good investment.

I rem i ran a 13 flat at 109. 60 ft was 2.5 .. That's a v6 accord.. Pretty awesome. Imagine putting it on a TL. ehehe

O becareful with your tranny.

wow...

your dyno #'s are near mine at 6psi.

You have the dyno sheet or timeslip? Just curious.

Also what garrett turbo did you use and who chipped your ecu? I didn't know we could do the to the TL/CL ecus.

Let me know.

Thanks.
