Is it true the ATLP sound drowns out in the higher rpm's???

title says it all. Ive heard a couple of the newer ATLP owners say that their ATLP sound does drown out in the higher rpm's. True? I remember reading somewhere that they dont but after hearing that im not sure anymore.

If I remember correctly, most exhaust for our cars get quieter in the higher RPMs.. but that's when VTEC takes over

I think they all do, if they didnt it would be obnoxious at driving speeds. Even my setup is drowned out by the intake at higher rpm (can be heard outside the car but not inside)

and you do get use to it, so no problem there, it is just a problem when you have passengers and they bitch and moan
btw i have a apexi exhaust and the only time it really drowns is between about about 2 grand and 3000 other then that it is pretty quite

drown out means get very quiet or loud? If quiet then idk why I read on ATLP website when driving in WOT it makes a nice high RPM sound, might be wrong.

my mom complains about my car being loud every time she has to ride with me, i love the deep tone... but she drives a stock LS though, you can barely hear the engine in WOT in that.

I think its that way with any type exhaust on our cars. A while back I had to take off my stock mufflers and drive with out them for about a month cause of a bent y pipe. I deleted the mid muffler prior to that and the car was obnoxiously loud at lower RPM but when I would get it past 3300 RPM, the noise would drown out completely.
It sounded super nice during WOT though

with my setup theres a lot of bass from 1k-2.5k.. then around 3k it sounds more aggressive with the high flow cat.. 3.5k and up is where the intake and VTEC sound take over

so i would think most cars would hear the intake and engine over the exhaust during WOT
