has anyone installed thrid gen brakes that say acura on th side on a second gen? i have a 03 type s.

any pics or dyi?

 

those are Brembo 4 piston calipers, in order to have that - get out your wallet and write a check for $2000 thats 2 thousand dollars for all the stuff needed, and then add new wheels to clear the calipers, and some labor the replace more parts than you want to know about

If you just want better brakes- may I suggest the Legend 2 piston calipers for 75 dollars per side of the car, direct bolt up- no issues and make a huge differance in the stopping power of the car
Matched to some really good rotors and pads- you can outbrake most any TL and similar cars

 

I personally would want teh brembo brakes that said "Brembo" on them.

 

well I had a budget, and $150 was great deal for 2 better front calipers.
So I can only fit the word Bimbo on them in hand painted letters....
just have to live with that!

but for our new member asking this question, the man in the post above me- also got tired of his automatic transmission breaking down, so he removed the entire TL engine and trans, then managed to install a complete CL-S engine and 6 speed manual trans!!!

So him swapping out the numerous parts to go brembo is one thing, and the average person another
Not to mention he hasnt done them to his car~ so its still a dream,
while there are several of us on the brakes used on a Honda Legend from the mid 90s, back when they thought they cars really should stop!!!!

Personally, I painted my calipers and brackets black and think it looks sharp
