Tanabe vs. Apexi??? Which one should I go for??

Heres the deal, I want a exhaust system and I don't know which one I should go with. Whats better, the Tanabe SHM catback or Apexi WS2 catback????? please give me some good feedback on both systems.

I just got the Apexi WS II exhasut installed on my 03 TLS and it sounds and looks good. Not only that, it is a lot cheaper than the Tanabe exhaust. I also heard that the Tanabe exhaust is louder than the Apexi WS II and the Comptech Exhaust systems. Performance wise...I here it is all the same gains...1-3 hp...I believe. I am getting the DC Header, AEM CAI, UR Ultra S Underdrive Pulley, and thermoblock spacers installed tomorrow so the sound of my car and exhaust will be a little different...mainly because of the DC Header and AEM CAI. It's really up to you..though....both are good exhaust systems. That's my Thanks.

I don't know if I'd say the Tanabe is louder. It's on my car and it isn't that bad. What it is is much deeper than the Apex'i. From the outside they are both similar volumes, but from the inside where the driver will hear them the Tanabe will give off more cabin drone. Making it seem louder. The Tanabe system weighs less, but other than that the systems are mostly equal. It becomes pure opinion on which exhaust you choose due to style, and pitch of exhaust note.

I got the Tanabe back in Dec. and love it! With headers and high flow cat, my car has a nice deep tone.

IMO their both great brands. The Tanabe, however is full stainless from the catback. The A'PEXi WS is black powdercoated up to the mufflers. I would choose the Tanabe over the A'PEXi due to the quality which I believe is higher with the Tanabe.

We have the SMH for the TL in stock. It is listed for the TL Type S 02-03 but many members swear that it fits the TL-P.
